About Unicorn Manchester
Unicorn Manchester is a National Inventory pub at 26 Church St in Manchester, with a wood-panelled interior that wraps around a central bar. It is a Craft Union pub that shows live sport on match days. The bar pours real ales on handpump, including draught Bass, and also serves drinks by the pitcher. Live music runs on some days, with a singer among the performers, and a DJ plays in the evening with dancing.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the beer, especially real ales in excellent condition and draught Bass on handpump, which one calls a rare find. Others describe a great selection that is reasonably priced, while one groans at the Doom Bar. The lovely wood panel interior wrapping around a central bar gets a mention, and a few describe friendly staff and fast service. Live entertainment comes up repeatedly: a singer entertaining the locals on a Sunday afternoon, a St Patrick's Day singer followed by a DJ who sorted out some technical issues, and a late Sunday DJ set. One reviewer notes the live music finished quite early. A minority report real problems. One says a pitcher tasted completely watered down, and both the bar staff and a manager declined to remake it, saying they trusted the staff and that more alcohol would have to be paid for. Another found the staff unfriendly and the beer awful, preferring other Manchester pubs. Even so, that late DJ set left people dancing, laughing and singing along.

“Went to the unicorn yesterday for st Patricks day they had made such a great effort with the decorations the singer was fantastic he was then followed by the DJ he had a few technical issues but he got them sorted music was really good the staff excellent BUT there was a lady collecting glasses who just spoilt the day she was horrible swearing threatening totally nasty she constantly was aggressive to random people including myself and my partner we decided to leave and the only reason was this so called lady I'm sure there were many others that left due to her behaviour I will return but if she is there it will be a very short visit”

“Didn't eat there, but visited late in the evening on Sunday 7th September 2025, and it was tremendous. The DJ was playing some cracking tunes, and the atmosphere was amazing.. people were dancing, laughing, singing, and it was just great fun. I will seriously be visiting this establishment more often when I'm in the vicinity... Do yourself a favour and pop in. You'll love it...”

“We came here and ordered 2 pitchers. Firstly, the way the manager spoke to us when we first walked in was an impolite and rough. We tried to move on, could just be one of those days for him. Fine. Then, 1 of the pitchers we ordered tasted like it had zero alcohol in it at all. Like zero. Just watered down completely. I went to the bar to ask if they were able to put a little extra in or even to just remake it and if it were to taste the same, then fine. But Terry, lady working, rudely said she made it, if I wasn’t happy, order it again. I’ve already spent £16? I talked to a manager, he says he trusts his staff have done the job correctly and that if we’re not happy, we have to pay for more alcohol. If I wanted to drink water, I’d buy a 50p bottle from Tesco. Thanks”
