About The Millstone
The Millstone is a pub on Thomas St in city centre Manchester, spread across three floors. Live music or karaoke is on every night, and the karaoke sessions include some afternoon slots. Cask ale is served at the bar, with Boddingtons among the pumps. The building keeps its original tiles, wooden floors and brickwork, and there are rooms on the first floor. The pub gets busy when entertainment is on.

Customer Review Summary
Karaoke and live music are what reviewers raise most, with singers described as really good and sessions mentioned on Sunday afternoons and a Thursday afternoon. Close behind is the friendliness of the bar staff and customers, who chat with patrons and keep the atmosphere great. Reviewers also praise the ale, including the Boddingtons cask they say is now on, and call the drinks reasonable. One reviewer found the Sunday lunch exceptional, and another describes cheap, little, clean rooms on the first floor where the live music does not disturb. Others like the shabby chic style across three floors, with the original tiles, wooden floors and brickwork kept. The recurring trade-off is crowding: reviewers say it can get quite busy, especially when entertainment is on, though they call it a friendly lot with nothing to worry about. One visitor recalls the landlord coming over to say hello and welcome them to the pub.

“I am extremely disappointed by my experience at this pub. A member of our group, who has a learning disability, was refused entry for being ‘too drunk’, when explained his issues and imbalances still refused him entry without any clear explanation or attempt to make adjustments. Especially considering this pub is well known to very inebriated people. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. The way this was handled left us feeling very upset and excluded, and was quite frankly discriminatory. Businesses that serve the public especially when in the City Centre should ensure their staff and MANAGER are properly trained in disability awareness and understand their responsibilities under equality legislation.”

“Didn't have food so cannot review that. This pub has been going for a long while and I always saw it very bustling and have been very intrigued. A friend invited me to a charity event and I enjoyed my time with a former chef and other business workers being friendly catching vibes. Would definitely recommend”

“Finding this place via google maps I was more than happy with every aspect. My stop was for Sunday lunch which was exceptional. Ruby, my waitress looked after every aspect of the stay and had a smile at every step of the way”
