About Crazy Pedro's NQ

Crazy Pedro's NQ is a bar in Manchester on Short St, built around 16-inch pizzas that are sized to share between two. The Fried Chicken & Waffle pizza sits on that menu, and half and half orders are possible, though both halves share one base. Hot Dog Bites and Potato Pops come as sides. A happy hour includes a pizza deal, and the bottomless brunch pairs drinks with slices of pizza. Staff serve drinks across the bar, which has its own seating.

Customer Review Summary

Pizza is the draw, and the 16-inch fried chicken and waffles pizza comes up most, described as a surprisingly fun combo that works and is big enough for two to share. Half and half pizzas also earn praise, with one diner singling out the double pepperoni on a white sauce base, while hot dog bites and potato pops round out filling lunches. Reviewers describe friendly staff, a colourful, lively room and good-value pizza deals. Bottomless brunch gets credit for a steady flow of drinks, even from one guest who found the pizza less impressive. The complaints are pointed, though. One reviewer found the Triple X pizza painfully spicy, covered in hot syrup with no warning on the menu, after a long wait, and could not raise it with staff over the loud music. Another found a pepperoni pizza greasy, with burnt pepperoni, and managed only one slice. Metal stools with no padding or back support make longer stays uncomfortable. Still, several mention splitting a single large pizza between two.

“Amazing food. We had the hot dog bites and a half and half pizza. The happy hour deal is practically every evening except Saturdays, meaning pizzas are only £13.50. They are large enough to be shared between two, so it really is great value on food. My only qualm is the stools, which are metal and have no padding or back support. It means that it becomes uncomfortable to stay for a longer time, which is a shame. I hope to return soon to try out their bottomless brunch”

“Came here as it was the only place where you can get a proper meal late at night in Manchester and my gf was working late. Ordered the Triple X pizza. They made us wait for 45-50 minutes, we were starving by the time it arrived. Now I know this thing was called the triple x - I knew it would be spicy and that’s fine. I like spicy. But when this thing finally arrived they had just emptied a whole jar of this hot syrup on it that was just so over-the-top spicy, within one bite it was just painful. Even after wiping most of this stuff off with a napkin, eating this thing was torture, but they’d made us wait so long for it, we were so hungry we just tried to power through it, but ate less than half in the end. If you can eat something like that and enjoy it there is something wrong with you. I feel like a bit of a fool because it’s called the triple x but the menu does not give any sense of how extreme this thing is. It’s the next day now and I feel so sick from just eating a bit of this thing. It even burns when I pee which I have never had from spicy food before. I genuinely don’t think this thing is safe to eat. It should at absolute minimum have a strong warning on the menu. I never write bad reviews and acknowledge that this is a bit of a rant, but it’s hard to convey just how awful this experience was and continues to be now. And since you can’t really talk to the staff without having to scream over the music I couldn’t get this across to them directly. Spice challenge hobbyists take this as a recommendation I guess, just as long as you know that the service is also bad.”

“We came for the bottomless drinks and slices. Had a great time. All the pizza was delicious, would definitely come back without the drinks. Benjamin was out waitor and was absolutely lovely. The pacing was great for us. Thank you!”

“Got a pepperoni pizza from NQ64. We all tried a slice and couldn’t have anymore. Wayyyy too greasy, pepperoni was burnt so no flavour apart from oil. Took 2 hand washes to come clean. A £8 pizza rather than £19. Feel absolutely let down from the hype to then only being able to stomach 1 slice”

“Visited Crazy Pedro's NQ for a lunch date and had a great experience. We shared the 16-inch chicken and waffles pizza between two, which was more than enough and really good a suprisingly fun combo that actually worked well. The atmosphere was great. It was fairly quiet when we went, which made it really relaxed, but the place still had a cool vibe and lots of character. Staff were lovely and friendly, which always makes a difference. Overall, a really enjoyable lunch spot with good food, a laid-back atmosphere, and a place we’d happily come back to.”
