Quick info
About Twenty Twenty Two
Twenty Twenty Two is a basement games bar on Little Lever Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter, and it doubles as an art gallery and event space. Ping pong and pool tables sit alongside arcade games, so groups can play between rounds of drinks. The bar serves beer and cocktails, and it takes private hire for birthdays and group nights out. The room works as an event venue and sometimes turns into a gallery, which gives it a use beyond the games. The soundtrack runs through hip hop, funk and electro.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the games, with ping pong tables the clearest draw, alongside pool and darts and a few arcade machines in the basement setting. Pool and ping pong are singled out as the favourites, and one reviewer describes the pool tables as levelled, well lit and well maintained. Drinks get a steady nod for a decent beer selection and fair prices, though one calls them just ok, and the staff are described as friendly. The vibe is called fun, chilled and a bit grungey, with good hip hop, funk and electro, plus a bartender challenge on Thursdays and art displayed in the space. The main complaint is the dartboards, which one regular says look battered, so the darts kept falling out and had to be picked up from the floor. Another reviewer found the bar staff unfriendly, with one bartender accusing them of being rude as a joke, and disliked paying by the hour for a quick game of pool. One reviewer left a bag at the bar and staff kept it safe until it was collected.

“Bar staff were very unfriendly, i got accused of being rude “as a joke” by the first bartender, when i was nothing but polite. Felt uncomfortable going back to the bar a second time as the other bartender didnt say a word to me. Only wanted a quick game of pool and a drink but they charge by the hour. Working in the bar industry myself i wouldn't dream of treating customers the way i was treated. Wont be going again.”

“Great bar, left my bag and they saved it for a considerable amount of time until I was available to pick it back up. Always a great vibe”
