Quick info
About Atlas Bar
Atlas Bar is an independent, family-run bar at 376 Deansgate in Manchester, set in a railway arch under Deansgate station behind a glass front. The gin list runs to over 570 bottles, giving gin drinkers a lot to choose from, and unusual gins can also be bought through the bar's online bottle shop. Draught beers and lagers include Neck Oil IPA, and Guinness is on the taps. Wines, premium spirits and soft drinks sit alongside a wide non-alcoholic and low-alcohol range. The coffee is an own blend, freshly ground and served by baristas. Food starts with breakfast, including a full English with a home made hash brown, plus bagels, and continues through brunch and lunch to snacks. The position at the station also makes it a spot for a drink before a train. Events and parties can be booked.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, helpful staff, with one server stopping to chat at length with a traveller and another bartender offering to carry a slow-pouring Guinness to the table. Food comes next. The home made hash brown with a bagel is called one of the nicest breakfasts in Manchester, a full breakfast is described as among the nicest ever had, and the mini sausages were served even though the kitchen had not yet opened. Several praise the outdoor seating, with heaters and views of the skyscrapers behind the old building. Many mention the spot beside Deansgate station, handy for a drink before a train or a debrief afterwards. The main complaints are small. One reviewer found the non-lager beer selection poor, with the usual lagers plus Neck Oil IPA, and another found the Sunday morning menu a bit limited. A busy breakfast service came with updates on the wait at every step.

“A really pleasant bar right next door to Deansgate station, which means it's a great spot to chill whilst waiting for your train, to start your evening out or to put a refreshing full stop on the end of your working day. Great views from the bar and out from the beer terrace. Nice pint of Guinness in here.”

“Obsessed with the location of this bar. The old building with the modern skyscrapers behind it while there’s a train track going through as well makes it look so cool. We had a couple drinks here and they were all fantastic. The people were lovely, very nice, fun and accommodating with great service. Nice outside seating area as well with heaters in case it gets a bit chilly. If I were to live in Manchester I would come here all the time!”

“I stopped in Atlas for a quick drink before my train at the station next door and am absolutely happy that I did. The staff was quick to greet and serve me, and despite their kitchen not being open yet for service, they made an exception for me upon request. I got the mini sausages, which were absolutely delicious. I took a seat on the back patio, which had an excellent view of the skyscrapers behind the building. What really made my visit special was Francis. He noticed my huge traveler's backpack and asked me questions about where I was coming from and where I was going. We conversed at length, and he truly made me feel welcome while creating a memorable experience.”

“Atlas Bar is an iconic Manchester Bar, famous for its large gin offer, over 570 at the last count! Family run and independent the bar is situated in the railway arch under Deansgate station and has a fantastic south facing terrace. This is covered and heated to combat the Manchester weather, too! The bar offers a vast range of draught beers and lagers, premium spirits, wines and soft drinks. It also has an enormous non alcoholic and low alcohol range too. Their freshly ground, own blend, barista served coffee is arguably the best in the city, and takeaway is available also. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and snacks are served daily. Events and parties, can be booked and you can also purchase unusual gins from their on line bottle shop.”
