Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often come for the beer, a large list that mixes house-brewed options with local and international ones, and one describes an elderflower lager as refreshing. Food from the Korean counter is close behind, with gochujang chicken chips, gyosas, Korean chicken and the meat-filled Nom Noms all named, while another reviewer had beef bon bons from a different kitchen that arrived a bit cold. Shuffle board, darts and skee ball get mentions as fun extras, and a few call the prices reasonable and the staff friendly. The main caveats are about drinks and logistics. One reviewer found a French Martini tasted of very sweet blackcurrant liqueur, and was told the bar uses its own recipes. Another notes most of the house beers were higher strength with few session options. One group was asked to leave ten minutes after ordering a round because of a private event, though it was handled politely.

“We were hungry, and needed a pint and we into this large brewpub, showing the Sunday matches on multiple TVs. Beer selection was great, both their own brews and a pretty extensive list of local and international beers. Beyond the TV, there is shuffle board tables, an outdoor seating area and loads of other touches (smart phone chargers, for instance) The big surprise was was the food, done by Koi which offers an absolutely delicious mix of Korean foods. We had the gochujang chicken chips and gyosas (dumplings) which were exceptionally tasty. We’d have had more, but we had dinner planned for a few hours later!. This place is pretty special, with excellent service and very fun vibe.”

“Cocktails were poor, use their own take rather than classic recipes which on this occasion meant a French Martini tasted of very sweet blackcurrant liqueur. I questioned why they were using the liquer instead of the Chambord, which was right next to it, and they explained they use funny recipes and it would taste the same. It didn't.”

“Been here a few times in larger groups and it has worked well. Always a decent selection of beers many of which are brewed on the premises but be warned most of them were higher strength when I last went. Not many session strength. Worth a visit though”

“Had food from Thief Street here which was good although the beef bon bons were a bit cold. QR code ordering and didn't really see/speak to any staff other than when they delivered food but they were friendly. Skee ball and darts available. There were a few kids in at lunch time so quite kid friendly!”
