About Pippin
Pippin is a pub in Maidstone at 78 London Rd, with live music and themed nights on its program. A DJ plays once a month, and a monthly Hitmix event gives regulars another reason to come back. Shuffleboard and other pub games are set up for groups of friends, while large screens and plenty of TVs carry sport. The kitchen serves a veggie burger, a beef ciabatta and a bubble and squeak brunch dish, and a three plates offer is made for sharing. The pub also includes a conservatory. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, welcoming staff, with several describing smiling service even when the pub was very busy. The large outdoor area comes close behind, praised for its heaters, large screens and shade, while indoors a conservatory and shuffleboard tables get mentions. Food earns specifics: a veggie burger, a beef ciabatta, bubble and squeak with smashed avocados and a poached egg, and chips that stayed warm. One reviewer called the pub grub ok but nothing special. A monthly DJ and Hitmix on the last Wednesday add to the draw. The sharpest complaint came from a birthday party booked weeks ahead, who describe waiting past an hour for food, blamed on a large bus tour booking, with fish and chips running out, food that was not hot, and complimentary drinks offered only after they had paid. Another reviewer wanted more menu variety and air conditioning.

“This pub has incredible staff. So so friendly, welcoming and bubbly. It’s so refreshing to come in and be greeted with such warmth and kindness. Scarlett and Bekah were serving us today as well as others, very busy but both kept on smiling and delivering exceptional service!”

“Jade and Charlotte have been amazing hosts for us tonight. Always greeting with a smile. The menu could do with more variety. Feel like the place could be managed a bit better (and more welcoming) to draw more of a crowd in. Place could benefit from aircon, or maybe even just open some windows. Hitmix run on the last Wednesday of the month is organised and run amazingly - sourced outhouse.”

“First time coming here since moving to the area, and all we can say is WOW. The garden, the food, the staff 10/10! Best veggie burger I have ever had and he said the beef ciabatta was delish! This will definitely become our new Sunday local. Thank you!”

“Great local establishment and always clean, tidy and vibrant. Great to see many regular faces are down here, and that speaks volumes. Funky music always keep the feet tapping and also sets the tone. Special shout out. To the fabulous Bekah and Scarlet - always friendly and make you feel welcome from the first drink. Nice to see a local still getting some footfall in these challenging times.
