Customer Review Summary
The single most consistent theme across reviews is the warmth and friendliness of the staff, with nearly every visitor singling out a welcoming, well-managed team that makes the pub feel like a comfortable local. Close behind, reviewers repeatedly describe the food as excellent and the portions as good value, naming the mixed grill among the mains and noting that menu items arrive hot and tasteful. A few diners also point to the pub's relaxed setting for casual meals, from watching Formula 1 with lunch to family birthday gatherings. One reviewer notes that on a Thursday evening the pub was unusually busy, and another describes waiting longer than expected for food when large groups were being served, suggesting better communication would help. Several recommend ordering through the Greene King app for quicker service, and one family who were rebooked here after a mix-up at another venue say they will now book all their meals at The Oak going forward. A few call out good weekly deals on dinner and praise the place for group outings.

“Really good meal, the menu is a "ping ding" type however it was tasteful, hot, the portions were good (simple things like plate sizes matched portions) it was quick service (ordered via Greene king app, a must) and can't fault prices, 2 starters, 2 mains (1 a mixed grill) 2x cokes, 2 Beers under 50.00. the place was v.buey at 1900 on a Thursday. Highly recommend, we will certainly be back.”

“Had to wait longer than reasonable for food to be served. It appeared there were a couple of large groups being served, but we had not been advised. Better communication is recommended.”
