About Tossed Cheapside
Tossed Cheapside is a health-conscious cafe and takeaway on Cheapside in London, serving breakfast, soups, salads, and smoothies across a menu of 41 dishes. The build-your-own salad bowl lets customers choose from add-ins such as spinach, shawarma chicken, halloumi, and pickled onion, with tortilla chips mixed into the salad rather than placed on top. Fixed options include the Rainbow Summer Salad, Parmesan Chicken Salad, and Probiotic Kimchi Super Salad, alongside a poke option with a choice of protein or cauliflower and a gym food bowl of broccoli, chicken, sweet potato, and beetroot with spicy sauce. A double protein add-on and a two-for-one salad deal are both available. Ordering is counter-style, with food called out when ready, and the format is walk-in with no reservations. It opens daily, and dogs are welcome inside.

Customer Review Summary
Portion size is the clearest recurring complaint, with multiple reviewers on a two for one salad deal and a double protein order finding servings small and chicken sparse. Others flag inconsistent quality, from falafels described as not fresh to a soggy result from tortilla chips mixed in rather than added on top. One reviewer separately reports finding a pube in their food. A few also mention queuing confusion when the order screens weren't working, and one found a banana custard dessert didn't match its name.

“Fantastic and friendly service from The Manager, Antonio today. A real credit to the branch and the company! ☺️”

“I ordered a takeaway salad on a two for one deal. The portion size is tiny - both salads can easily be combined in one pot to form a normal sized salad. There are 6 pieces of grey chicken across both salads (3 in each!). Perhaps a small …”

“The food quality is below average, overpriced! The Falafels are not fresh, most likely bought in cold and boring. The lunch box is overloaded in the base grains with little veg. Oveall disappointed, won't come back.”

“The poke was perfectly seasoned and really soft. Everything was served in under a minute, super fast. Just be careful when ordering — don’t make the same mistake I did and accidentally pick cauliflower instead of meat! 😄”

“thought the salad was really good, massive portion and good flavor. Only thing is that I think they should put the tortilla chips on top at the end instead of mixing them in because then they have no crunch and are soggy. Nice that a salad place is open here on the weekend (all others were closed).”
