Customer Review Summary
Brunch is the main draw at Caravan City, and the veggie fry leads the praise, with reviewers singling out its black beans as the highlight of the meal. Close behind are the vanilla pancakes, described as not too sweet and filling, and the jalapeño cornbread with a fried egg. Others mention the full English with excellent scrambled eggs, Korean style buttermilk fried chicken with kimchi pancakes, flat iron chicken, and a caramelised brioche dessert called melt in the mouth. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly and welcoming, including a hostess who moved a diner with a large dog to a better table. The caveats are specific. One reviewer's poached eggs on the chorizo dish arrived overcooked with a solid yolk, another found the red Thai curry could have more flavour, and one noticed a transaction fee added to a QR code bill afterwards. Reviewers describe the morning rush as fast filling, with one saying booking ahead is needed, while the quieter afternoon suited one person working on a laptop with fast wifi.

“Loved it. Veggie fry - brunch. Filling and delicious especially the black beans. Such an amazing find. Always on the look out for brunch places, will definitely be coming back to sample more of the menu. Shame it's not halal but the veggie options looked good. Staff were friendly and helpful and lovely decor.”

“Never realised how busy a breakfast spot would be but that’s The City for you. Caravan has usual breakfast fare at prices you’d expect to find in the area - aka nothing extraordinary but does the job well. Especially enjoyed the black beans in the Veggie Fry, they were probably the highlight of the meal. Carrot ginger juice was decent too. Overall, it’s a lovely spot in/on the Bloomberg Arcade with ample seating. Need to book ahead though as it fills up really quick in the morning (~8am).”

“I came here for brunch and got the pancakes. It was absolutely delicious, not too sweet and was of such great value for the money; I was stuffed by the end of it. The staff were also so lovely, especially Phola - genuinely such a gem. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be coming back here again :)”

“Arrived on a weekday afternoon looking for somewhere to work on my laptop for a few hours. Around the City, café options can be surprisingly limited once lunch service winds down, so Caravan was a great find. I arrived just as the lunch rush was ending, which turned out to be perfect. Getting a table was easy, and the space became much quieter as the afternoon went on. If you're planning to work, this is a good time to visit. I started with an iced coffee and later had a glass of white wine. While Caravan isn't the kind of specialist coffee shop I would usually choose, everything was solid and well done. The practical side was particularly good. The wifi was fast and reliable, and the space felt comfortable and well maintained. I also felt reasonably comfortable stepping away from my table briefly, though I wouldn't recommend leaving belongings unattended anywhere in London. One thing to note is the payment system. My bill came to £16.38 using the QR code ordering platform, and I only noticed afterwards that a transaction fee had been added. Overall, I had a very enjoyable afternoon here. Friendly staff, comfortable seating, reliable wifi, and a relaxed atmosphere once the lunch crowd clears out. No real complaints from me.”
