Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for a quick, friendly lunch, with food arriving fast and the lively room suiting a work break. Diners single out the duck gyoza with plentiful sauce, the chicken katsu curry, tonkatsu pork bao buns and gochujang pork belly ramen, while the matcha and a thai chilli margarita also earn praise. Several mention clean tables, a roomy booth, high chairs, crayons for children and clearly marked vegan options, and one calls the value excellent. Opinions on the food are not uniform. One reviewer found the fried dumplings average, another says the soup noodles are better elsewhere and the chain is not as good as it used to be, and one thought the food merely ok. Service draws the sharpest complaint. One reviewer describes a long wait to order, a small nasi goreng that arrived as plain fried rice with curry, and wings that were too salty. A rice bowl and then bibimbap were brought out by mistake, and the server blamed the table for the mix up.

“First visit to Wagamama, and to this restaurant at St Paul’s, London. Lunchtime on a Saturday and we had a booth which was roomy for the four of us and quiet. Excellent friendly service. Had a couple of light options plus drinks. Excellent value for money, tasty food and served quickly.”

“I am Asian so I know a lot about Asian foods. Noodle we ordered was ok, but the nasi goreng I ordered was terrible. They literally just gave me really small portion of regular fried rice with CURRY🙄🙄(not with vegetables like sprouts-just with bell pepper). I even doubled check it by asking the server if he gave me the right one. And because there are a lot of customers so the servers were not very attentive. I waited 10min to order the food And the worst part was they kept giving us the wrong food. The guy came holding two dishes(rice bowl-we didn’t order-and the wings which we ordered) and the guy gave us the rice bowl so we told him (pointing the rice bowl) that we didn’t order that one. Then he took both dishes back and then gave us bibimbap after waiting for a lot. So we told him we didn’t order the bibimbap. Then the server started accusing us for this problem telling us that his colleague gave u the right one in the first place but we said no🙄 We got the wings anyway(which wasn’t even good-it’s not Buldak, it is too salty). Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place.”

“During my official visit to London in May, my colleague and I stopped by Wagamama St. Paul’s for lunch, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Although Wagamama has branches in Dubai, this was my first time dining at one, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. I really liked the unique presentation and serving style, which made the meal feel different from a typical restaurant experience. The food was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared, making for a very enjoyable lunch. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the lively atmosphere made it a perfect place for a business lunch break. Overall, we had a great time, and I’m glad my first Wagamama experience was here. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the St. Paul’s area.”

“The food was good. I loved the Matcha; it was nicer than the places in the same range. Since it's a food chain, I am happy with the taste and quality. It's not bespoke, but still served nicely and tastes good. They do have a budget option meal + drink with iced tea, which is a good choice. I am not satisfied with the fried dumplings. They were so average.”
