  “It was a lovely Sunday roast. I had a pint of the house lager to start off with, then an elderflower spritz with 6 oysters, and finished with a glass of 2021 Barolo alongside the roast. Airi was incredibly fun, professional, and polite. Her attentive and bubbly care is absolutely the reason for this review.”

  “My friend and I visited The Libertine while in London to celebrate her birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we received exceptional service from Joe. He was attentive, welcoming and genuinely friendly, making us feel so well looked after throughout the evening. He went above and beyond to make my friend’s birthday feel extra special, and it truly became a night to remember. The drinks were fantastic, especially Joe’s recommendations, which were spot on. The food was equally impressive; beautifully presented and absolutely exquisite. Thank you to Joe and the team for making our celebration so memorable. We can’t wait to return!”

  “This place earns 6* out of 5! Please treat yourself & go to this great restaurant / pub. We had a fun evening with George and Joe. They were very friendly and pointed us to some of their best dishes. Burgers were special. I had the fish pie. It was a little heavy on the mashers but nice mix of seafood. Joe said the Sunday Roast is a must have when you visit the Libertine in Cornhill London.”

  “Two Americans experiencing our first Sunday Roast, and we picked a banger! Fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is so lovely and a bit eclectic. The playlist was fun, and the basement location was welcome in the middle of a warm July day. Anastasia and the rest of the staff took such wonderful care of us and answered our questions so kindly. The food was exactly what I hoped it would be! He had the beef, I had the chicken, and they were equally delicious. The extra sides sounded good, but we had more than enough food to fill us up as it was. We definitely hope to be back to try even more of the menu!”

  “Was a bit nervous to go because of the reviews about the bad service but we didn't experience any of that. Our server was wonderful, extremely friendly and efficient. The food was also surprisingly great. We each had a main, I had the chicken and a few sides. Was fantastic :) the wine is pricey but that's the only issue I found.”

  “We have the most delicious Sunday roast here! The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere was great:) the staff were super friendly, specifically Will who was a dream and made our lunch such a delight, will be coming back! Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding, was the perfect sweet treat to end our lunch”

  “Such a beautiful setting for an amazing meal! I am in the financial district of London for meetings and happened to find a local spot doing Sunday Roast...and they are doing it perfectly. The location is incredible (it is actually in the Royal Exchange building), the staff were so courteous and professional and the food - outstanding. I would highly recommend reservations. I was solo and even had fo wait (not long but make note). I am going back later this week for cocktails in the bar area. This is a must do.”

  “The best Sunday Roast I have ever had (apart from my Wife’s in case she’s reading). We visited on a Sunday (obvs) on a rainy January and was really impressed with the quality of food and friendly service We thought the wines were a touch expensive, even for London, and the music playlist was a bit off kilter to the restaurant ambience, but don’t let any of this stop you from visiting a really great restaurant”

  “I visited the restaurant for my late birthday celebration. Portion sizes were massive. We had burger and fish and chips. The burger was juicy and full of flavor. The fish and chips were not dry. Prices are reasonable too for this setting. I wasn't expecting for them to treat my dessert, it was very thoughtful. Thank you.”
