About Sobha Mediterranean Restaurant
Sobha Mediterranean Restaurant is a Mediterranean restaurant at 179 Archway Rd in London. Meals begin with free starters and bread brought to the table, and a home-made chilli sauce is there to go with the food that follows. The menu lists meze and starters before the mains, which include stuffed aubergine. From the grill, the lamb chops and the mixed kebap platter come with sauces and roasted vegetables. The kitchen serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, so the same menu approach is available at several points in the day.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the grilled meats, especially the mixed kebap and mixed grill platter, along with lamb chops that two reviewers call tender and charred. Close behind is the chilli sauce served alongside, described as warm rather than hot and possibly home made. The köfte, grilled chicken with couscous, and stuffed aubergine each get a mention, as do the meze, starters and a fresh salad with feta and pomegranate seeds. Several note generous portions and reasonable prices, and the lunch menu is called great value. Staff are repeatedly described as welcoming and friendly, with one kitchen adapting the chicken dish to be dairy free. A few mention being offered free starters or bread and appetizers, and the apple tea earns a nod. No recurring complaints appear. One reviewer who stopped in for breakfast met the owner, who works in both the kitchen and the management.

“SoBha restaurant name it is Turkish and Arabic origins, beauty, splendour , radiance, elegance. It means friendly conversation; social gatherings in Turkish culture where friends & family talk and share a meal. It is a modern Turkish Mediterranean cuisine with all opportunities for having a breakfast, brunch or full dinner. We had a dinner for three people and found the meats, with mixed kebap was so tender. Served with many sauces , roasted vegetables and signature chilli sauce. A stand out dishes. Great cook! Welcoming staff and carefully servicing during dinner. Most important a very good portion meal with a value too. Will frequent as soon as will be possible.”

“I highly recommend Sobha for the delicious, fresh food at reasonable prices. Please support them 🙂 I will definitely be going back. I saw the top score and decided to give it a try as I was close by and I wasn't disappointed. I was offered free starters, which was a lovely surprise. The highlight, honestly, was the chilli sauce, which was warm, not hot, and so tasty. I think it was home made. Thank you Sobha and see you again soon 😊”

“Lovely new restaurant, which opened in May. The food is refreshing in the summer and perfectly seasoned. I had the lamb chops, which were very tender and scrumptious. Highly recommend to others.”
