Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the cocktails, calling them unique, creative and innovative, and pair them with small plates such as the burrata starter, aubergine with tahini, mushroom risotto and crab salad. Close behind is the service, described as friendly, attentive and hospitable by most, and the downstairs room is called intimate, secluded and moody, with music quiet enough for conversation. Mains also draw praise, including chicken and prawns with a sauce that paired well with Chenin Blanc, grilled salmon, and steak with sweet potato fries. Desserts such as tiramisu and chocolate fondue get mentions, and one reviewer raves about the smoked almonds. The recurring caveat is portion size. One diner found the dishes medium to small and would order extra sides on a return, and another thought the mains looked simple on arrival before the flavours won them over. One reviewer advises booking in advance because the room is small. One couple after a show found staff rearranging tables to fit them in.

“Elevated food that was tasty and beautiful to look at. Service was quiet and warm. The venue is nicely decorated. The only reason I'm giving four stars rather than five is because we found the portions on the medium to smaller size. The dishes were tasty but we thought they were for a smaller appetite compared to most other London restaurants that we have been to - so we would need to get additional sides if we returned.”

“My mum and I had an amazing meal at Bantof. We were looked after by Johnny, who took excellent care of us and made sure he went the extra mile to make our dinner incredibly special as we were celebrating. Food was amazing, and I was wowed by the delicious cocktails, really innovative! The ambience was perfect, the music wasn’t too loud and we could have our conversation quietly and privately. I would love to come back next time I’m in London. Thanks Johnny and team!”

“What a great place for dinner before a show. We were downstairs and the atmosphere was secluded and moody. The staff were so attentive. I wish I could get my hands on the smoked almonds recipe - perhaps morning enough likes here I’ll earn it?? Be sure to try them. Our mains were amazing and OMG the desert is a must try.”

“Reserved a spot for lunch. Service was amazing and on point. Ordered the grilled salmon for lunch and it was perfect. Chocolate fondue for dessert. No complaints, will be visiting again!!”

“We had a wonderful experience here at Bantoff. The aubergine with tahini, steak and sweet potato fries were particularly stand out dishes. Masud and Kosma provided great service with a smile. Good flavours and attention to detail with the cooking.”
