Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return to the seafood and pasta dishes, with the seafood ravioli and a crab pasta singled out, and one reviewer praising the ravioli as perfectly al dente. Close behind are the starters: the hummus, falafel, burrata, charred sweet potato, and bread with pitta toast and dips. Others name the chicken shawarma, buttermilk chicken, and a pea and mint risotto, with a chocolate torte as a dessert favourite. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive, and a few mention a complimentary welcome drink or Limoncello. Reviewers also like the location near Liverpool Street for work lunches. The caveats are specific. One diner found the lamb cutlets Milanese dry and chewy, the plaice overwhelmed by tart lemon butter, and the truffle mayo portion tiny. Another felt the risotto looked like soup and the pasta portion was small, and a third found the club music odd for a weekday work lunch. Even so, a free Limoncello at the end of one dinner stood out as a lovely touch.

“I had genuinely lost interest in eating out because so many places seem to serve food that feels uninspired. But our visit to Café Luca to celebrate my son’s graduation completely changed that. The food was exceptionally fresh, the ravioli perfectly al dente, and the ingredients and spices were combined with real imagination and artistry. Each dish had something unexpected about it, keeping you curious and appreciative with every bite. The staff were equally impressive — knowledgeable, attentive and clearly passionate about the food they serve. They could explain every ingredient and preparation method with confidence and genuine enthusiasm, which added enormously to the experience. Café Luca restored my enthusiasm for dining out. A wonderful atmosphere, beautifully considered food, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. It was a genuinely refreshing and memorable experience, and the perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion.”

“Went for a business lunch. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for traveling in and out of Liverpool street as well with it being a under 5 minute walk away. Food was brilliant and would definitely recommend. Has the bread and pitta toast start followed by the seafood ravioli. Both were excellent! Would recommend and will definitely come back!”

“The food was very nice. The fried aubergine was delicious and the broccoli. I didn’t like my calamari main but I ordered the wrong thing for me it was very nicely done.. service was very good and attentive and I thought it was reasonably priced. The only oddity was the background music which was very Friday night kiss fm club music. As a millennial ex-raver turned mid 30s corporate person I quite enjoyed a bit of drum and bass in the background to my work lunch but I’m not sure it’s the right vibe for the city on a Thursday lunchtime where you are doing mainly work lunches? Would go back though”

“**Fantastic Dining Experience at Café Luca** We had an amazing evening at Café Luca, made even more special by our wonderful waitress, Tina. She was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the night. Her warm and welcoming service really enhanced our dining experience. The food was absolutely outstanding—the crab pasta was to die for, bursting with flavor, and the chocolate torte was simply gorgeous, the perfect indulgent treat to end the meal. To top it all off, we were delighted with a complimentary Limoncello, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Café Luca has definitely won us over, and we can’t wait to return to try more dishes from their tempting menu. A huge thank you to Tina and the team for a memorable evening!”

“Had dinner with work colleagues. I would say it's ok. The food wasn't bad but it was a mixed bag, the steak was good but had an interesting butter in it and nothing encouraging me to return. The risotto looked more like soup but tasted ok. The pasta was a relatively small portion. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere pleasant and inviting, and the wine good. Don't regret going, but equally not eager to return.”
