Customer Review Summary
Lamb dishes draw the most specific praise, with reviewers naming tandoori lamb chops, balti lamb and lamb with chickpeas, described as fresh, full of flavour and cooked exceptionally well. Close behind, one diner praises the butter chicken and biryani and calls the paneer tikka and onion bhajis the crispiest they have had. Several describe waiters who guide them to dishes that suit their palate. One group booked for a medium party received suggestions on sharing and quantities, with spice adjusted on individual orders. The recurring caveat is pace: two reviewers found service a little slow, and one says meal preparation took some time. The one harsh review calls the butter chicken tasteless, with onions in it, and says the cooking lacks real Indian flavour. Another diner found a plain naan rather pointless without chutney or raita. Several say they will be back, and one now makes it a regular dinner stop while waiting for the sleeper train.

“Absolutely delicious. While on a business trip I came across this place and I was not disappointed. The food was very tasty. The staff was polite and friendly. The only downside was a tad slower service and the meal prep took some time but at the end of the day it was well worth the wait!”

“Great service, fantastic food. I’ve been coming to Drummond street for great Indian food for years, as a Camden local - and the food was banging. Loved it - I’ll be back.”

“Fantastic food here. We had booked for a medium sized group and they were very accommodating with suggestions for sharers and quantities, friendly service, and the food was delicious, incorporating requests for more or less spice on individual orders. The service could have been a little quicker but I was also aiming for the last train of the day from King's Cross so I was perhaps a bit more conscious of the time! Definitely added this to my list of places to book for group meals near Euston/StP/KX.”

“Sorry guys, all the reviews I read of this place is completely fabricated. This is a place where the cooks have no clue how to cook indian food. We ordered Butter chicken: terrible, it had onions in it!!!! There was no taste at all. Plus the Naan came with a hair on it. The Picture of the store shown in the profile is AI, posting an image of the restaurant. To be fair the prices are not too high, eat here to have indian named dishes with some non Indian flavor at decent price.”

“Without doubt the best Indian food we’ve had (and we’ve been to many Indian restaurants). Every single dish was beautiful. The customer service was amazing, such a kind man who served us, we gave a tip as we were so impressed. Have taken food home and will be back soon!! Thanks so much!”
