About Keep Chaating Indian Vegetarian Restaurant
Keep Chaating Indian Vegetarian Restaurant is an Indian restaurant in London at 63 Neal St, set in an interior styled like a traditional Indian village home, with mud-textured walls and Warli art. The menu is fully vegetarian, with vegan and Jain options marked out for those diets. Pani puri shots come as a starter in a playful presentation, while Chhole Bhature and Misal Pav anchor the heartier plates. The owner and her mother cook in the kitchen, and the floor team suggests dishes to guests who are unsure where to start. Set deals come with chai, which gives a lunch or an early meal a built-in drink. A private dining room is available for groups.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the authentic, freshly cooked vegetarian food, with one diner noting the spice has not been toned down. Chhole bhature and misal pav are named as standouts, while the pani puri shots and samosas draw comments for their creative presentation. Masala chaas is called one of the best in London, and the chai earns praise from several. A few mention the homemade taste and the kindness of the owner, and one points to the Jain options as rare. The interior is described as warm and homey, with mud-textured walls and Warli art that one reviewer compares to a traditional Indian village home. The complaints are specific. One reviewer found the mains horrible, ready-to-eat quality food served hot, and liked only the Gobi Manchurian and the starters. Another finds the prices a bit much for the portion sizes, and a third calls the steep staircase to the toilet unsafe because the first few steps lack handrails. One parent notes that the kids got their food first.

“This is a hidden gem in the Holborn area of London. As someone from Delhi who was craving authentic Indian food, I'm so glad I discovered this place. What I loved: 1. The ambience The interiors make you feel as though you're sitting in a traditional Indian village home. The mud-textured walls, beautiful Warli art, and thoughtfully curated décor create a warm and inviting atmosphere. 2. Presentation The food presentation is excellent. The pani puri shots and samosas are served in a unique and creative way that adds to the overall dining experience. 3. The food The owner, Ms. Roshni, and her mother are also the chefs, and it truly shows. Everything tastes homemade and prepared with care. The food isn't oily, and both the sabzi and naan were outstanding. 4. Masala chaas This deserves a special mention. It's one of the best chaas I've had in London—perfectly seasoned, with just the right consistency. It wasn't overly creamy or heavy, making it incredibly refreshing on a hot, humid London day. 5. Masala chai A very good cup of chai and a great way to round off the meal. What could be improved: The staircase leading to the toilet is quite steep, and the first few steps don't have handrails. It felt a little unsafe and could be challenging for some guests. Overall, don't miss this hidden gem. The food is delicious, comforting, and flavourful without being overly spicy. I would happily visit again.”

“Great, authentic and freshly cooked food served with warmth and honesty - I went mid-afternoon, so it was a little quiet but will definitely be back for dinner some time soon…already thinking of what I’m going to order!”

“The mains were horrible. Gobi Manchurian is quite good. Mains were ready to eat quality bad food just served hot. Avoid for mains. Go fr starters and jain options (which is rare to see)”
