About White Swan
The White Swan is a McMullen's pub in London, on the corner of Vauxhall Bridge Road and Causton Street, where it has traded as a public house since 1759. The bar pours the brewer's own beers, including an in-house IPA and an alcohol-free IPA, with Guinness and other beers on draft. The kitchen cooks pies, with a pie sampler on the menu, alongside fish and chips. The bar area is large and long, and a spiral staircase leads up to an upper room. TVs are dotted about the pub. Orders are placed at the bar or through the app. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own, and dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Pies lead the praise at this McMullen's pub, with reviewers singling out the mint lamb pie for tender meat and crusty pastry, and a pie sampler where the steak and mash beat the chicken. Close behind are the house beers, including an IPA described as refreshing and fruity, an excellent bitter, an alcohol free IPA and good pours of Guinness. Others name truffle fries, calamari, spicy chicken, baked Camembert, buffalo cauliflower and sticky toffee pudding. Many describe friendly, hardworking staff, even on a busy marathon Sunday, and one says a request to leave an item off a dish was granted. Ordering through the app is called simple. The complaints are fewer. One diner found the staff tired, with utensils put down without a word and no welcome, and called the order-at-the-bar setup impersonal. The same review found the food pricey, the sandwiches mostly bread and the chicken very dry. Another reported the Wi-Fi not working. One reviewer simply called the food okay. A spiral staircase leading to an upper room stands out in the long bar area.

“This is a great pub tucked on corner in Pimlico. Good selection beers on draft. I enjoyedv the IPA, also recommend the snack bundle, good selection to choose from the calamari and spicy chicken were excellent”

“This is without doubt the best pub we have been to in London for years. It was spotless with welcoming attentive staff. The drinks range was excellent including McMullens own alcohol free IPA which was very good. We had a portion of chips which were also excellent. Thank you”

“Brilliant pub restaurant we stumbled upon after visiting the gallery. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Asked for food off the menu without something on and they did it! Really simple to order via the app. Just a lovely experience! Hopefully come back one day :)”

“We just spent a lovely night at the White Swan after stumbling upon it looking for supper. Lots of room and a spacious bar. The food was delicious (mushroom bites, baked Camembert, buffalo cauliflower, chicken and asparagus leek pie, cod bites, and steak frites). Great pours of Guinness. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was super chill. Big shout out to Anton! He’s such a gem of a person.”

“I came and ate in this British public house with the clear intention to enjoy a British moment, and understand what made them vote for Brexit. But I was very disappointed. Wifi connexion was not working, and this is the case in many pub and cafés in London, this place really feels like it is getting stuck in the 2000s' when internet access was for the privileged. The service was not what you can get mainland Europe. I have to say that I am not really convinced about this Brexit, I used to live in England, and Brexit doesn't seem to have make things more British. So as a tourist Brexit is pointless, it is just an expensive experience, as exemplified in this White Swan.”
