Customer Review Summary
The Sunday roast is what diners mention most, calling it delicious and great, though one reviewer found the pork could have been crispier and another found the vegetables and potatoes hard and the gravy portion too small. Close behind is the setting, a large two-floor space with a riverside terrace over the Thames, sport on big screens, table-tennis upstairs, and toilets reviewers call clean and quirky. Fish and chips and a beef burger earn praise, along with the beer and wine selection, while the Scotch egg was tasty but slightly dry. Service divides reviewers. Some find staff friendly and quick, but others describe a welcoming start that dropped off, a second app order that caused chaos, and pints that were off, with the swap at the bar called appalling. Burgers draw the sharpest complaints. One diner received missing ingredients and the wrong sauce, was offered a refund, then was refused it by a manager after finishing the meal. Another had a burnt chicken burger remade by the manager.

“Good location over looking the river. Good selection of wine. In our group 2 had pints and they were off. Returned them to the bar to swap for another lager. That service was appalling. Lots of tables outside on the terrace. The cocktail was basic too. Toilets on the first floor are clean. Disappointed, won’t return despite the location.”

“What a shame, use to like this place but this time was such a awful experience. Ordered 2 burgers, simple u would think..reality was dif and we received 2 burgers, mine beef - missing stuff inside what was on menu and my sister's chicken burger ,no sauce, just some tomato cheap sauce instead of bbq as menu said.. ok ,we called someone a d he apologised and told us we get full refund if we keep food or wait (another 45min) we said ok we want refund. But then this so call "manager" came(after we finished!) And told us no no refund.. like if we knew this we wait for new food to be cooked! Funny thing..when we arrived we tok order from him and he told us he is just a help but next thing u know he is a manager 🤣 oh and I asked for just simple salad instead of chips..got some greasy cabbage from Sunday roast menu🤣 sister didn't ask for salad and wanted chips, she got greasy cabbage too 🤣 Propa shame I used to come here often but this experience made me dislike the place”

“Really lovely venue in a fantastic location. The main space is huge, with an upstairs area featuring some beautiful, colourful furniture and a generously sized garden terrace overlooking the river. I loved that the tables were well spaced out, so it still felt private and relaxed despite being a busy venue. The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. Even the bathrooms were quirky and stylish, perfect for a selfie! I’ll definitely be returning and would happily recommend it to others.”

“We tried the Sunday roast at Nine Elms Tavern and it tasted great. The toilets were very clean and beautifully decorated too, which was a lovely detail. The whole atmosphere and vibe of the place was really cool. Such a nice spot to relax and enjoy good food.”

“Very nice pub. Generous food portions. Amir at the bar very friendly and helpful. Couple small minuses- light in ladies toilet didn’t work. Had to use phone torch to see anything. Door to go out to garden did not shut properly and had to be manually pushed and while sitting inside not very good when windy. Apart from that good place to stop over for a meal and drink.”

“Just a short walk from Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms underground station, the Nine Elms Tavern is the best bar and restaurant in Battersea for local craft beer, fresh British seafood, and quirky cocktails. Just a stone’s throw from Embassy Gardens, we’re in the heart of the action here in London’s newest food & culture district. Our modern and stylish interior holds its own against London’s hippest bars and restaurants, whilst our stunning riverside terrace, offering views over the Thames, rivals London’s best city-view experiences.”
