  “This has been our local pub for two years and it’s honestly been fantastic! Great atmosphere and fantastic food. The staff are also all really lovely, Matt in particular has been so friendly and given the place a real local feel! We are leaving the area but wish we could take it with us !!”

  “We had a group gathering after a funeral, very recently, and had a few tables booked. The pub team were great - our drinks came quickly despite it being quite a large group; and our pre-ordered for was served up as soon as we were ready. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks, and had lots of lovely comments about the pub itself and the ambience. We felt very welcome. Thank you! I go to the Curtains Up regularly - I highly recommend the food, for me in particular it's the vegan options including vegan ice cream, and the team there are friendly and approachable.”

  “Great local pub with a really welcoming atmosphere. Roy, our waiter, was especially nice — friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. It’s always good to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed spot with great service!”

  “My friends and I went to this place on our first night in London. It looked very cozy, and was not too crowded for a Thursday night. It was not really clear whether we could just enter, and take a table, or we had to be seated (turned out it was the first option), and no one from the bar approached us, that was the only negative point. The food and drinks were amazing, we had a portion of fish & chips, and it was really one of the best I've had. They also had really good non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails. Once we were seated, the service was excellent, we were felt seen and heard, and the waiter came by every 15 minutes to check on us, without being too pushy. Definitely would recommend it!”

  “We really like this place! A great place for families. Killer drinks, the Pimm’s Fizz was a favorite. Friendly and accommodating, we felt right at home. Great menu, above average bar food. The fish and chips were a hit, along with the pub burger. Looking forward to our return!”
