A special shout-out to Howard, who was an excellent member of staff, really friendly, attentive, and made sure we were all well looked after. Excellent service all around. Thanks to their great staff I’ll definitely be coming back.”

  “I’ve been here a couple of times now and it’s always been a great experience. Nye has been so lovely and welcoming every time I’ve visited. His hospitality is exceptional, and he always creates such a warm and friendly atmosphere. It’s people like him that make you want to come back. Thank you for making every visit so enjoyable!”

  “CANNOT stress enough how good the saturday nights are here!! we came for my mates birthday and the DJ wasplaying absolute bangers. it got really packed by 10pm so getting to the loowas a bit of a mission but the vibe was just sogood nobody cared. definitely booking the upstairs room next time so we have more space.”

  “Cat & Mutton hosted our running community last night for our annual awards dinner and Christmas celebration, and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. There were 22 of us dining on a three-course menu, spread across three tables, and the whole evening felt relaxed, festive and incredibly well looked after. Martha and Simon were outstanding hosts — welcoming, attentive and effortlessly professional. They gave us plenty of time for late arrivals, photos and award presentations between courses, never once making us feel rushed. What really stood out was how seamlessly everything ran. They were always there when needed, yet so unobtrusive that at times we barely noticed them — the hallmark of truly great service. Efficient, calm and genuinely warm, they were the best hosts we could have hoped for. The pub itself looked fantastic. Beautifully decorated for Christmas with a tree, crackers and thoughtful festive touches on the tables and around the room, it created a cosy, celebratory atmosphere that was perfect for a Christmas gathering. Fantastic service, delicious food and a wonderful festive atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our Christmas party — highly recommend The Cat & Mutton for group celebrations.”

  “Firstly the staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. The roast needs alot of work though. The potatoes tasted a bit old and lacked flavour. The turkey was very dryand overcooked vegetables also lacking flavour. The smoked cheesey leaks where good and had some taste. The Yorkshire puddings, impressive but overcooked and very brittle. Gravy also no flavour. Cocktails were full of taste! The roast potatoes really would do well to be cooked with some sage and rosemary to give them some depth, and cooked in a better oil, if it's to accommodate vegans then a sunflower oil would do better. The sausage roll, add some fennel and that way it won't just taste of pork, obviously it should but there was nothing else to it. As it stands it's the most bland Sunday roast I've had unfortunately.”

  “finally made it to the other end of broadway market without getting distracted by any of the other pubs and can confirm that this was worth both the mental and physical effort. proper pub with top top vibes. bonus points for spiral staircase to the More Seats Upstairs where the ceiling is gorgeously disgusting and host to about 250 years of well-cultivated splatter. big windows with good curtains which is never a given these days. v happy with the beer selection and an interesting food menu with more than the usual suspects. i hope to make it this far down the street again one day.”

  “Lovely experience! Had the chance to chat with about 3 employees and all of them provided great service. Me and my partner had 2 Sunday roasts, beef and horseradish, as well as some sticky toffee pudding and it was fantastic. The sauce was particularly nice. The Yorkshire pudding was fresh and lovely as well. 10/10 and would recommend”

  “Went for sons 40th happy birthday and we couldn't have chosen a better place to go. The bar staff were absolutely superb. There were 9 of us for lunch, all served at the same time,food was stunning and what really got us they were all hot (not microwave hot,real hot). The prices were fair, it's not cheap but very well worth the money (sorry for poor English ,but I'm Welsh🤣) If we lived in or around this pub I'd have Sunday lunch there every weekend.. I thank the staff very much for looking after us in way they did”
