  “I was out exploring the castle and everything close to it. I just so happened to walk past this place, as every other place nearby looked too full. I did find The Victoria very nice, though I didn't stay for more than one beer. The staff seemed polite and effective. The beer selection looked great and prices were really fine as well. The place had a nice outdoor are for the busier days. If I ever come back to Lincoln, I'll make sure to come back here.”

  “Visited here as was at the castle nearby for a festival. The venue was very busy (inside & out) due to the festival going on and a nice atmosphere. There is a large outside seating area and inside is split into 3 different area's. There was a nice range of cask drinks on and the service was quick.”

  “Didnt have any food, not even sure if they sell it so I can't comment on that. This is an old school pub situated close to the Lawn and cathedral. We came in here after a meal out. There was seating available outside and we manged to grab a table indoors for 4 in the dart board area. Everyone was very friendly, prices seemed ok and the atmosphere was great with a live musician playing. Its a bit run down in terms of decor and there were missing flights on the darts etc but if you just want to socialise and have a drink in a friendly, old school pub then you'll be happy here!”

  “Ok we were visiting our friends I don’t leave a lot of reviews but on this occasion I have to say We had the best time here Will the Landlord quite but very knowledgeable Tom well what a lovely person, and Mick well what a legend! The new chap sorry can’t remember your name however equally as welcoming. My husband had recently come out of hospital and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and the food was amazing! Good for you chef. Thank you all of you for being so kind we will come back and see you soon. Julie &Barry Reeves (friends of the Castle tour guides group)”

  “Lovely traditional pub right next to the castle. Good selection of drinks, does serve food but we didn't try this time. Super friendly staff and locals. Great outdoor seating. Dog friendly.”

  “What a fantastic pub. Very friendly service. Lovely beer. Much needed refreshments after walking up the steep hill. Great outdoor area facing the castle. Will definitely go again and will have food next time.”
