About Prince of Wales
Prince of Wales is a pub at 77A Bailgate in Lincoln, close to the Cathedral. Its bottomless brunch pairs hand-stretched pizza with a wide choice of drinks and cocktails, and the drinks are kept topped up with no rule that everyone orders the same thing. Groups book the brunch in advance. Breakfast is served as well, including a large breakfast and a bacon sandwich. Beyond brunch, the bar pours craft beers, gins and cocktails, and a gluten free menu is available. Orders go through the Mixr app or at the bar. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Bottomless brunch is what most reviewers come for, and they describe drinks that keep flowing with no rules about matching rounds or finishing a first glass, a good choice of cocktails, and a food menu that goes beyond tapas, including pizza. Several single out one server for being friendly and attentive, and two staff are credited for staying attentive as the only ones on shift. Breakfast also earns praise, with a large breakfast and a bacon sandwich described as fresh cooked and piping hot, and staff are thanked for helping a group member with a milk allergy. The complaints are sharper. One gluten free diner reports that burgers from the gluten free menu came without buns and with the wrong order, and that a waitress snapped back when the order was questioned. That reviewer also called the food terrible. Another says the Mixr app failed on weak WiFi, so vouchers could not be used and a staff member eventually sent them to order at the bar. One brunch guest found the food below earlier visits, though the glasses stayed topped up.

“What a fantastic afternoon at the Prince of Wales. We booked bottomless brunch for my Aunties birthday as a group of 7. The food was great, a large choice of meals and not just tapas like we've had elsewhere. I had a pizza and it was delicious. The drinks were flowing continuously, no silly rules about all drinking the same or finishing your first drink before being allowed to place an order for a second. There was so many drinks to choose from too! Top marks for our server, Amy! She was great fun, very attentive, and always smiling. We loved the friendly banter between us all. We would definitely book again.”

“They rely on you using the app however the WiFi is not capable. I had a staff member trying who eventually said you have to order at the bar. What's the point in the Mixr app if it is not functioning and enables you to use vouchers. Really disappointed and the service needs to be improved. Either let people order in person or have sufficient resources to cope with app orders.”

“Booked a last minute bottomless brunch with friends, we were not disappointed. Neve & Kian were friendly, polite & very attentive despite being the only staff on shift. It was a bit quiet indoors which is why only 4* for atmosphere. The food wasn't as good as previous visits but the glasses were kept topped up with selection of lovely cocktails. We will happily go back. Thanks Neve & Kian, you are a credit to The Prince of Wales. See you again soon.”
