Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the most detailed praise, with the beef cooked and sliced to taste, large Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and red cabbage, plus an offer of extra gravy. Close behind is the welcome. Reviewers repeatedly credit the owners and bar staff, one group says staff remember their peculiar hot drinks order, and another received drink suggestions from a staff member that were all yummy. Families mention a menu with something for everyone, hot food and good portions, and several call it affordable. Criticism is smaller but specific. One reviewer found the food slow to come out, thought the puddings pricey for how substantial they were, called the sundae ice cream bland, and saw children running around and having a food fight with no manager stepping in. Another, who booked with dogs, was told dogs were not allowed in the restaurant area, felt the greeting was rude, and ate in the bar, where the food was good. One parent describes a server who was caring and understanding when a problem with the food was raised.

“A Lovely Sunday Roast at the Lincolnshire Poacher We were warmly greeted by Jayne, the landlady, who showed us to our table. From the moment we arrived, my husband, my father and I all commented on how lovely the décor was and how welcoming the whole place felt. We ordered our drinks using the QR code, and they arrived promptly. We didn’t have long to wait for our Sunday roasts either. Beautifully presented, they looked so inviting that we couldn’t wait to tuck in! The Yorkshire puddings were lovely and large, the roast potatoes were delicious, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The star of the show, though, was the beef, cooked and sliced just how we liked it. It was also a lovely touch to be asked if we would like extra gravy. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and we were still raving about the roast potatoes and red cabbage afterwards! A great pub, run by Jayne and Gary, with lovely staff, a welcoming atmosphere and really good food. Our compliments to the chef! We had a wonderful Sunday lunch and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!”

Spoke to one of the staff members, Malakye, and he had some fantastic drink suggestions to offer to each of us, and they were all yummy! Definitely would return with my girlfriends, because this was a great and super affordable time I spent here<3”
