  “Really lovely and generous Sunday roast, beautifully cooked meat and trimmings. Would definitely recommend. Service was great too, really friendly and accommodating. The place itself is a little run down and has a bit of an old school pub vibe, but that shouldn't deter you from visiting.”

  “Always a great Sunday carvery here, but last night we had a fine dining experience, that they do Friday and Saturday nights to order, It was absolutely fabulous, fine dining indeed and we would thoroughly recommend this as excellent quality, and well put together, can’t wait to come again, menus change every week,”

  “Was very excited to have lunch here as have heard great things about it.Sadly was most disappointed. My flatbread was burnt,as was my husbands burger bun. Flatbread was replaced when i mentioned first one was burnt. Prawn marie rose was disappointing as very small prawns. Decent portion of Cropwell blue cheese and very tangy whipped feta,lemon and olive oil. Husbands chicken burger was apparently just so so. Not the best lunch experience i'm afraid.”

  “We dined at The Tiltyard last evening (5 of us) and I was so impressed I just had to add a review. The food was absolutely fantastic - real fine dining. The chef certainly knows what he's doing. We had a 4 year old with us so we ate early (5.30pm) and by the time we left the restaurant was busy. We all had different meals (I had monkfish and hubby had ribeye steak) and each of all were so pleased with the quality and quantity. The staff were very helpful and service was excellent. I wish we'd found this place before. We'll definitely be back.”

  “We'd heard that the food was excellent here so decided to give it a go and so pleased that we did! The meals were generous and absolutely delicious. I haven't had a steak cooked that well in a long time. The puddings were excellent too and very good value. We will definitely return soon!”

  “This is a pub with seriously good food. We opted for the specials- Barnsley chop (lamb) and thai prawn linguine. Both exceptionally good. Really nice drinks options that work well with the menu too. This is worth a trip to check it out, couldn’t really fault it. Service was friendly and warm, food wasn’t fast in terms of delivery but not slow either.”

  “I hadn't been to The Tiltyard for years and with Mrs J away for a couple of nights, it was time to revisit. I'd seen that there were new chefs there so that was the pull. And I certainly was not disappointed! Very, very good food, tasty and cooked spot on. The main menu has good choices and isn't too big and there's the specials board, which I chose from. Probably made a mistake in that I ordered 2 mains (not sure if the Masala spiced bao bun was a small plate or main; my fault, should've asked) but so glad I did as it was a chance to try both. Will definitely be back to eat there again. Congrats to the kitchen! One thing if you visit ... look past the time warp of the Lounge. I'm knocking on a bit in age and it reminded me of pub lounges of the 80s and 90s. But this is a neighbourhood pub, not a restaurant, and you know what, I felt comfortable and relaxed. A cosy environment and damn good food ... suits me!”
