Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the pond and garden, describing tables beside the water, an outdoor bar and a spacious terrace that suits a drink on a sunny day. Inside, they mention nooks, alcoves, period wood and a view of the old water mill. Food draws praise too, with the pork belly called tender and juicy, plus the duck, the tiramisu, the lamb, the ribeye and a steak burger. One family notes clearly labelled gluten free options for a daughter with Coeliac Disease. The main complaints are practical. One reviewer spent half an hour finding a space in a full car park, and another says parking fills at busy times like weekends. That same diner found the pork very dry and the beef chewy and hard to cut after a long wait for food, though the dessert was fantastic. Another needed to hunt down a food menu before service picked up. Several mention friendly staff, and one couple returns every year for their anniversary.

“So beautiful from almost every angle. Summer tables or benches, next to the water. Indoors continues with amazing pub and restaurant seating. Alcove and nook seating, multiple levels, period wooden interior and scenic views from the windows. Highly rate this place for a visit, especially if you haven’t been here before. Great food, I ordered the ribeye beef.”

“Stunning countryside pub with cute pond and tables alongside, never seen anything like it. Family friendly on Sunday, but romantic for couples too. Large outdoor terrace, perfect for warm days. Only had drinks, but definitely want to come back for food! Highly recommended. ❤️”

“We come here each year for our anniversary as we had our first date here. We celebrated 8 years this year! The food is always amazing and the staff are super friendly. We come back throughout the year too but this trip was an Anniversary meal. We love that you accommodate with Gluten free options clearly labelled and widely available as our daughter has Coeliac Disease and we often find it hard to find places that are safe to eat out with her.”
