  “We had wonderful relaxing and lovely lunch today. Thank you to the staff - Tom , Andre and Will. They were all so kind to us and patient! We stayed there all day and didn’t feel we had to leave after our lunch. The food was excellent so thank you very much chef! We will return and go to your cookham branch. But again the staff made this place aswell as the food. They helped us with the menu and tweaked things for my uncles meal to please him. It was just so appreciated. Thank you all very much. Defo recommend. Alll the food was amazing. I’m having the burger next time. It was fab 🙏”

  “We’ve now used The Greyhound twice as the venue for our Business Nest networking events and it’s been brilliant both times. We had a group of 15 women with us this week and so many of them commented on what a lovely space it is. It feels welcoming, comfortable and just works really well for bringing a group together. Jonny was incredibly attentive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed today, without us ever having to ask, which makes hosting an event there so much easier. Even checking the music volume and the temperature of the space, now that is real hospitality. And a special mention for the pastries because they are always fabulous! Our GF lady said it's the best she's ever had. A gorgeous venue, a lovely team and somewhere I’m very happy to keep bringing our networking community back to.”

  “Two roast dinners, Pork and Chicken - both delicious and perfectly cooked, lovely selection of vegetables (none at extra charge like up the road) carrots, cauliflour cheese, spuds, cabbage, gravy, you can ask for more if needed which we didn't as there was loads. We did book this last minute for peak time at 2.15pm. So very busy, table was by the door but wasn't cold so ok. Parking good. knocked a star off as clearing of the plates took a while. Staff all lovely (no name badges). We will be back :)”

  “I always feel this restaurant has a posh vibe to it. The place is lovely and the staff are very welcoming. The menu is quite limited amd can be rather gourmet so my fussy boys struggled to pick something. Between us we had the burger, fish and chips and pork chop. They were all served beautifully and really good food. Check the menu first and if you fancy it you will love it”

  “Fantastic overall experience. The oysters were incredibly fresh and refreshing, and I loved seeing local wines on the menu. The hanger steak was a little disappointing, but Tom handled everything with genuine care and professionalism, and the service was impeccable throughout. Great hospitality goes a long way—we’ll definitely be back, and I’d highly recommend the oysters.”

  “A fantastic place to eat! We recently moved to Finchampstead and thought we should give it a try—and what a pleasant surprise it was. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the food was perfect. During a lovely conversation with the staff, we mentioned that we had just moved to the area. To our surprise, they brought us a welcome cake—such a thoughtful and lovely touch. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back many, many times!”

  “We had a lovely, lazy Sunday and headed to Greyhound for lunch. We went for the Sunday roasts (Beef and Chicken), and everything was spot on. Portions were generous, and the side dishes were bottomless - roast potatoes, carrots, green veggies, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, gravy the full works. Simply delicious. The staff were amazing too. It felt like everyone looked after everyone; we honestly lost count of how many different people checked in on us. Such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A really great Sunday lunch 😊 highly recommend.”

  “Unbelievably lovely! The food was so fresh and all sourced locally. I had the steak with marmite bearnaise and it was perfect. I had the chocolate pot for dessert which was like a crème brule with chocolate 🍫 All servers were so friendly and lovely. Could not recommend more!”

  “We visited on a bank holiday evening. Fantastic service all through the meal. Pretty location - has good parking. Wine excellent. Food wise it was ok. Desserts good. Menu very different. Presentation very good. I would think dishes are better other days. It was a last-minute decision to go there based on past reviews. We had not dined out for quite a while and did find it expensive. It became a birthday treat.”

  “I can find no fault in this lovely establishment at all! A beautiful building inside and out to start with. We had a booking for 3 and had had to change the time because of traffic which was no problem at all. The staff were very professional and friendly and showed us to our table outside. The choice of food was excellent and we were told they had a fresh fish delivery that day so I chose the lobster for my main and I had the goats cheese and asparagus tart with poached egg to start. The food is of very high quality and was delicious. For dessert I had the vanilla cheesecake with strawberries and they kindly wrote happy birthday in chocolate around my plate. If you have a special occasion or just want an excellent meal this is definately the place to go.”
