Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the Sunday roast, with the cauliflower cheese singled out as the showstopper alongside crisp roast potatoes, red cabbage and a pork roast that was not dry. Close behind are the fish and chips, the fish platter, a rump steak and calves' liver, each called the best someone had eaten. Many mention the refurbishment after the reopening, describing a tasteful village pub with a big garden, and the staff are repeatedly called attentive and friendly. One diner with gluten and dairy intolerances found delicious options, and another had the camembert swapped on the cheese and biscuits. The caveats are modest: one roast had chewy lamb and slightly overdone beef, and one reviewer wanted a finer wine list. Several say the large car park fills quickly, and one booked a table of four online. One solo diner got a table in front of the TV for some peace and quiet.

“Amazing Sunday evening spent at the Falcon! We loved the food and the atmosphere. It was an extremely cosy experience. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the roast was delicious, with the pork not dry at all! Lots of vegetables provided and stunning gravy. Definitely recommend visiting.”

“One of the best rump steaks, I have ever eaten. Very grateful they were able to swap out the camembert cheese for another option on the Cheese and Biscuits. Attentive staff, all very cheerful and provided very good service. Was very nice to be able to have a table for myself in front of the TV as I was on my own on this occasion and needed a some peace and quiet. Would I go back again for a date night or with some friends; the answer is yes. Very well done.”

“Beautifully spacious pub that's perfect setting for a Sunday roast. It's incredibly popular (the large car park fills up fast), so booking our table of four online was a smart move. Their Sunday roast menu covers all the classics—beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and a nut roast. The chicken was beautifully cooked, the lamb was flavoursome though a little chewy, and the beef, while slightly overdone, was still tender and delicious for the price. The roast potatoes were textbook perfect—crisp shells with fluffy interiors—and the excellent red cabbage was a very welcome, included surprise. But the absolute showstopper was the cauliflower cheese. It was an absolute masterpiece: fabulously cheesy, perfectly cooked florets, and easily one of the best I've ever had. Paired with a rather good Malbec, it capped off a fantastic, high-quality meal that offers serious value for money.”
