About The Bull Inn
The Bull Inn is a pub in Reading with a garden playground for children and an outdoor pizza kitchen, so families can eat while the little ones play. The pizza kitchen makes sourdough pizzas, and the main menu runs to small plates, including a Camembert sharer, that are large in portion. The menu is updated often, with a daily menu alongside it, and a steak night deal is part of the offer. At the bar, the real ale usually comes from Rebellion in Marlow. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Small plates are the draw at this pub, with reviewers calling them lovely, good value and bigger than expected, and one praising the Camembert sharer as unreal. Close behind are the mains, where mussels and fish and chips are described as cooked really well with lots of flavour, along with sourdough pizzas and a steak night deal called excellent value. Reviewers also mention good real ale, a good wine list and beers, plus some vegetarian options. The garden gets praise on sunny days, with a good playground for kids, and the indoor space is described as warm and cozy. Friendly staff and a bustling Friday crowd come up repeatedly, and several note dogs are welcome. The main complaints are practical. One diner on a dairy free diet found the summer menu frustrating, since burger patties and lamb chops contain milk and only one small plate was dairy free, compared with four or five a few months earlier. Another could not find space in the car park on a busy Tuesday evening. One reviewer advises booking, especially in the Christmas run up, and cyclists were allowed to keep their bikes beside them at the table.

“Friendly pub with great food and great service. Some good vegetarian options and plenty of parking. We visited on a Friday lunchtime and there was a good bustling atmosphere without being too busy. Booking is advisable though, especially in the Christmas run up.”

“Had such a lovely lunch here! We had some picky bits and the Camembert sharer, which was unreal - Can’t recommend it enough! The staff were all so lovely and continuously checked in on us, and the food was amazing. Will definitely be coming back!”

“First time here, went for some small plates and a main. Didn't realise the small plates would be so big!!! Will definitely be back.”

“A welcome find on a warm, summers day after cycling for 60 miles. Large beer garden and wonderful menu. Sour dough pizzas were the perfect fuel for two cyclists in calorie deficit, and we were allowed to keep our bikes alongside us. Drinks offering looked tantalising but two pints of coke were all I needed. Really friendly Friday night crowd (including lots of lovely dogs) and a very pleasant, easy vibe. We shall return.”
