About Pulp
Pulp is a brunch restaurant at 31 Gibson St in Glasgow, run as a small café where dogs are welcome alongside their owners. The menu centres on egg dishes and breakfast plates, including French toast, steak and egg, and a sausage and egg roll with black pudding. Smoked salmon with egg is also on offer, and a steak sandwich can have haggis added to it. Lattes and coffee are served to go with the food. Tables are limited by the size of the room, and a wait for a table is common.

Customer Review Summary
Eggs are the draw most reviewers return to, described as cooked to perfection and served with sourdough, avocado and generous greens such as broccoli stems, asparagus and pea shoots. French toast is close behind, soft inside with a light crisp outside. Diners also single out the steak and egg, the smoked salmon with egg, a steak sandwich with haggis added, and a sausage and egg roll with black pudding. Coffee and lattes earn praise, though one reviewer found the latte good but less memorable than the food. Presentation and value come up repeatedly, and one traveller says their food allergies were handled well. Staff are called friendly and lovely. The caveats are modest. One reviewer wants a bigger drinks menu, matcha in particular. Another says the place is popular and a wait for a table is likely, while a third has not had a long wait. One regular was glad to see it reopen after closing for a few months.

“Small spot, big vibe. We love this place, was so worried when it shut down for a few months due to unforeseen circumstances. It’s back and still absolutely brilliant! All the staff are fantastic, the two ladies working on Sunday 11th were spot on! Great service so glad it’s back”

“Don’t miss this wonderful place if you are looking for an incredible breakfast or brunch and great coffee. We were blown away by the high quality, incredible taste and beautiful presentation as well as excellent service. They handled my food allergies really well. We are travelling and I find it difficult to get enough vegetables. My breakfast was loaded with really fresh broccoli stems, asparagus, pea shoots, etc. Lots of avocado, fresh eggs, delicious sourdough bread. The owner is a wonderful woman.”

“Amazing food and extremely good haggis too! I added some haggis to my steak sandwich, great combo! Eggs cooked to perfection, insanely good greens (a rarity these days) and overall best brunch in Glasgow so far!! Will return today!”

“This place is a really great find, a very beautiful independent café with an incredible flavoursome unique menu offering great combinations for breakfast, it’s so fresh and you can tell there’s some real thought put behind the dishes on the menu. The staff are lovely and the café is not too big so it doesn’t become too overwhelming for the staff either, which is always nice to see them enjoying their day rather than a little stressed. It’s priced so reasonably to and considering the standard of the food I would be willing to offer much more than what they ask of you!”
