Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return above all for the rotating themed tasting menus, with the Sherlock Holmes menu and its clues and murder mystery element named most often, and diners describe solving each course as part of the fun. The "Ye Olde Pub" menu follows, where the steak and ale pie, duck, scotch egg and apple crumble stand out, along with a gin sour from the cocktail pairings. Wine and cocktail pairings are repeatedly praised, and servers who explain each dish and drink earn frequent mention. One parent says the staff took care over a daughter's nut allergy. The caveats are smaller. One diner found the Paris menu the weakest of those tried, citing two courses with similar onion flavours, dry fish and a small bone in the chicken, while another noted the noise on a busy Saturday. Even so, a fussy-eater couple said the menu pushed them out of their comfort zone and they enjoyed it, and several say they plan to come back for another theme.

“I visited last night with 3 of my friends and had the Ye Old Pub menu (I think that’s what it was called). Everything was 11/10 from the food to the service. The waiters were amazing at describing both the flavours of the food and the wine pairings. The duck, apple crumble, scotch egg and fish were massive stand outs! The flavours were so rich and we all left excited to visit again. Thank you so much for a lovely meal and great service.”

“Six by Nico never disappoint, the quality of food offered, the different flavours and taste make it a truly special dining event. This time it was murder mystery themed, where you receive clues with each course to discover who the murderer is. Their consideration for my daughter and her nut allergy makes it a comfortable and safe food experience. Top notch service, very friendly staff and a nice calming atmosphere. 10/10.”

“We loved everything about this experience. The food was outstanding and solving the murder mystery was so much fun. Adam, in particular, played a special role in the delivery. We’ll definitely be recommending this to our friends and family. Thank you!”

“We had a fantastic evening at Six by Nico. The Sherlock Holmes theme is a must try for foodies who love a bit of mystery. The interactive element was brilliantly executed, making each course feel like a true discovery. A huge shoutout to Jai, who was incredibly attentive and done an exceptional job at walking us through the concept and the clues which accompanied each dish. Highly recommended for anyone seeking more than just a meal.”

“We recently tried the Paris menu and it did not disappoint. Staff were so lovely when I had to call up when stuck in traffic. The service was impeccable and we were well attended to. The setting was beautiful and the food was wonderful. The only slight complaint was the noise level which couldn’t be helped considering the restaurant was extremely busy given it was a Saturday. We loved the experience and would highly recommend - it caters to different types of people and the themed menus make this place very special.”
