About Mrs Falafel
Mrs Falafel is a falafel restaurant on Ashley St in Glasgow, serving Lebanese, Palestinian and Middle Eastern food from a hut. The team hands out free falafel to sample while customers wait, which gives first-time visitors a taste before they commit to an order. The menu is built around falafel wraps, including a falafel wrap with tahini sauce, and a lamb kofta wrap for those who want meat. The falafel bowl takes halloumi as an add-on. Each dish comes with a sauce recommendation, and mama's secret sauce can be bought separately to take home.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are sharper. One reviewer found the falafel dry and not homemade, the kofta looking burnt and the fries stone cold, with a drink and cakes forgotten and no money back. Another says salad liquid leaked through the takeaway bag into the napkins, and reports seeing waste liquid poured from a jerrycan into a street drain. By contrast, one diner whose order fell in the rain had it rewrapped and redone.

“Had a falafel wrap from here last night while doing the Shine Walk. The gentleman who served me gave my entire party a free falafel to try. I got the wrap with the tahini sauce, and the free falafel and my total came to £5. If I had cash I would have given this man everything I had in my pocket. I didn't, so instead I thought i would leave a review of my experience. Genuinely one of the best wraps I have ever had. Cannot recommend this enough.”

“While we waited for a lamb kofta wrap, and a falafel wrap, me and my partner were given a fresh fluffy falafel each while we waited. I've never had a fresh falafel before, the outer breadcrumb shell was lovely and crispy. The inside wasn't mushy, and seasoned very well. The lamb was flavourful, there were many different spices inside - amazing! And the man at the till was funny and friendly. Definitely worth a visit for a bit of lunch! Note: There are bike racks and benches next to Mrs Falafel.”

“Thank you so much for your kindness. They even rewrapped/redid my order after got wrong side of bag handles in transfer to my hands & it fell to the ground in the rain, carrying umbrella, phone & free falafel at same time. They even gave us waiting a free falafel to sample. So friendly, they're famous with GSA/in Glasgow for a reason, both for their food, their sauce recommendations per dish like the tahini with falafel wrap & garlic with the hot spicy potato bowl & mama's secret sauce can be bought separately. Thanks for a lovely experience & helping out with our graduation class picnic c:”

“The food was dry and not nice at all. Felafel dry and not even home made. The kofta looked burnt. The fries were stone cold and dry hardly any of them. They forgot my drink and cakes. I couldn't even get any money back after they forgot part of my order. I wouldn't order from here again even if they paid me to order. This is the worst meal I have ever ordered from a take away. Mrs felafel should be called Mrs don't order from here ever.”
