  “The food was absolutely delicious!! It was our first time in the restaurant and so we ordered the mixed platter and vegan sambusas between the 2 of us to try a bit of everything and it was more than enough. The service was brilliant and restaurant staff was very friendly and approachable. The restaurant was nicely decorated, with good ambience and background music, also not overly busy but with steady flow of customers. Loved it all, thank you!”

  “Visited this restaurant with my husband as we had both never tried Ethiopian food before, we were interested to try something new. We ordered the meat platter with recommendations from the waitress who was very polite and helpful. The food came, presentation impressive and shown how to eat without cutlery and using the bread to pick up the meat. On the first bite of the lamb dish, my husband pulled a large sharp bone from his mouth which honestly could have been fatal! Turns out the lamb dish had multiple of these large bones which i have added a picture of. I forgot to mention this to the waitress at the end but if this is how it is traditionally served it would have at least been nice to be warned about the bones beforehand. Kind of ruined the experience for me as i kept having to investigate my food before taking a bite. Bread was also a bit of a strange experience but may just have been because it was a texture and taste we havent had before. Traditional coffee was lovely, served with incense and popcorn. Cant say much about the atmosphere as we were the only people in the place when we arrived, but the decor and music was traditional.”

  “It’s not often that I’ll review a place after one visit, but Mosob was so good! Ethiopian food was new to us, but we will definitely be back. The lovely waitress recommended the platter as we hadn’t tried the food before, we had that, beautiful beef, lamb, spinach, mixed vegetables, salad, all served on light flatbreads, all delicious. We had a bottle of Merlot, next time beer will be preferable. We finished with traditional coffee served with popcorn and a piece of burning Oudh . All the service was excellent , friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. So good! Second visit, just as good as the first, love this place. If I lived in Glasgow I’d be here very frequently. We had the beer this time, excellent.”

  “If you’re in Glasgow and looking for something truly special, I cannot recommend Mosob Ethiopian & Eritrean Restaurant enough. I actually travelled all the way from Edinburgh just to eat food from home and it was absolutely worth it. From the moment I walked in I felt like I had stepped back into my country. The atmosphere is beautiful filled with traditional touches that make you feel warm, welcomed and connected. The food was absolutely incredible. The injera with tibsi and zigini (key wot) was full of flavour and made with so much care honestly it truly took me back home with every bite. But what made it even more special was the coffee ceremony. The aroma, the smoke, the jebena and even the popcorn served on the side. It’s not just coffee, it’s an experience and they made it so beautifully. And the staff honestly amazing. So kind, attentive and genuinely caring. They really took care of me and made me feel at home. This place is more than just a restaurant it’s culture, memory and heart all in one. I will definitely keep coming back ❤️”

  “Food: The ingera which is the main dish of Eritrea and Ethiopia is really good. The bread is nice and airy and the sauces that go wiry the ingera were all good as well. The coffee and the popcorn is also a great way to end the meal but it did surprise me with how much coffee there was Service: Good! I'd say they are nice and cordial whilst checking in with you and aren't intrusive whilst caring about your experience Atmosphere: it was quiet but comfortable as only when we left did more guests start to come in! This is a lovely find in Glasgow and is worth visiting!”

  “Fantastic experience, we had the vegan and meat samousas for a starter that were delicious. Two of us shared a meat platter and another one had the smaller vegan platter and everything was amazing, with really good portions sizes. We were clearly clueless at the start of how to eat it properly so they came and showed us how it was done! Not the greatest for someone with a low spice tolerance but manageable. The traditional coffee with popcorn was also a good experience.”

  “Excellent service. The waiter gave us very tasty recommendations and explained how to eat each dish. All of his suggestions were incredible. They have a good selection of vegan dishes and the coffee ceremony is something really special.”

  “5 out 5! Curious and delicious experience. I have never tried Ethiopian cuisine. So for us it was more an experience that about the food, however it was great discovery to try it. Highly recommended. The presentation of the plates, the form to eat (you have to eat using the pan which is the plate by hands). So if you are looking for something interesting it’s the place. The service is friendly, kind and attentive. And funny :) As bonus great price vs quality balance Nice”

  “It’s not every day I get to try some Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine, what a treat 😋 Meat platter consists of: • Lamb zigni - Spicy lamb stew slow cooked with tomatoes, onions and berbere spices. • Chicken spreece - Diced chicken sautéed with olive oil, tomatoes, onions, peppers and green chillies. • Lamb alicha - lamb stew cooked in lesmi (spiced butter). • Minchet abish - ground beef stew with fenugreek and toasty spices. Berbere chips were a great addition to it. Well recommended 👍 It was on a table cloth of injera - a sour spongy flatbread - which was used to scoop up all the goodness described above. Wasn’t expecting it to be cold mind you but I did enjoy it 👌 I’d defo go back, plenty more on the menu to try 🇪🇹🇪🇷”
