Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently center their praise on the decor and service at The Ivy, with the elegant, art-deco interior, rich colors, and statement lighting drawing repeated mention alongside staff described as attentive, efficient, and welcoming even for walk-ins or missed reservations. Close behind, specific dishes earn strong marks: the salmon linguine, Keralan sweet potato curry, cod goujons and creme brulee are singled out by one diner, while others highlight the Malaysian curry, vegan burger, veggie breakfast, and Greek yoghurt pancakes. Several note the private dining room and vegan or vegetarian options performing well for group events. Recurring smaller complaints include background music described as too loud or mismatched with the setting on more than one visit, coffee beans criticized as subpar despite otherwise good coffee, and one reviewer reporting food arriving lukewarm and a birthday request going unacknowledged. A separate reviewer describes a breakfast where the bread was burnt and hard and the meal overall fell short. One diner also notes an issue with the events team prior to booking, though they mention additional staff training was said to be underway. Many describe returning multiple times, with one noting it was their fourth visit and still worth it.

“Very nice food. Meat was eccelent. Cheesecake was one of the best in my life. Burrata was sooo delicious. Price for this food is nice and absolutely justified. …”

“After being previously unimpressed with The Ivy, this visit was a very pleasant surprise. The shedded duck, then the Korean chicken, from the 1998 menu, were excellent. …”

“After a long day trip on our way back to the hotel we stopped by The Ivy to have dinner. When we went in we got a bit surprised. Wowsa, this place is fancy! And we weren't really dressed accordingly, coming straight from a trip in the highlands. But we got a table anyway. The service was top notch. Very friendly and efficient. The place itself is very bizarre - in a positive way. You don't have these classy "upmarket" places anymore. Have a look at the restrooms (even if you don't have to go), how beautiful the decorations and the bathroom in marble is. The food itself was good. Nothing too fancy but good. The prices for drinks and food were absolutely OK and fair, especially considering the excellent service and the atmosphere.”

“The food here is a bit hot and mix, some of our party absotloved theirs and others ot was just fine, maybe the menu is a bit big to have all of it be great. The sundae was a highlight with the candy floss and popping candy making it really fun. Staff were fantastic and the decor really is brilliant”
