About The Lazy Fox
The Lazy Fox is a pub on Tunbridge Wells Rd in Crowborough, with a garden that looks out over the valley and countryside. A shepherd's hut in the grounds is available to hire, and the garden also has a playground for children. The kitchen makes pizza and serves a roast dinner of pork with crackling, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes. Food and drink on the menu are sourced locally. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own, and dogs are welcome in the bar area.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the Sunday roast dinner and the pizza. One diner describes pork with crackling, a huge Yorkshire pudding and very large roast potatoes, while the kids' pizza gets praise from families, with one parent who rarely eats pizza saying they enjoyed it too. Close behind are the valley and countryside views from the tables and garden, along with a good beer selection, including a low alcohol lager described as crisp. Halloumi fries with apple chutney and a cherry bakewell tart with blackberry ice cream also get mentions. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, including with children, with one server helping with a daughter's food intolerances and another moving a table away from a cold back door to the bar area. The recurring caveat is busyness. On busy Sundays the mains took a while behind large parties, the car park is described as tight, and one found the crackling a bit salty. Families also mention the kids' playhouse and a shepherd's hut stay.

“Stopped here for a drink outside, beautiful pub with amazing views outside. Greenery stretches for miles around and the pub gardens have plenty of seating options. Inside the pub is absolutely stunning. There was lots of food options that looked very nice but we didn't have any so can't comment.”

“Super cozy and family-friendly spot with really respectful and helpful staff. My kids totally loved the pizza....and I gotta say, I enjoyed it too, which is a big deal since I usually don't eat pizza! The kids' playhouse is a nice bonus. We'll definitely swing by again when we're in this part of the UK. Great job, Lazy Fox!”

“Visited bank holiday Monday evening and was greeted and served by Farrah all the time we were there. She was attentive, professional and knowledgeable, 3 attributes that are an absolute must in the hospitality industry! She helped with my daughter’s intolerance’s and made sure that she was safe which we really appreciated. The food we ordered was delivered quickly, looked amazing and most importantly tasted incredible. A big thank you to Farrah and the Lazy Fox team and if we are ever back down this way (we live in Lincolnshire) we will defo visit again. 5 stars all round. Thank you.”

“This was a great find, tucked away with views looking out over the countryside. There is plenty of seating inside the pub, with a large dining area as well as seating by the bar. Outside there is patio seating, and there are additional picnic benches in the garden and a playground for the kids. The staff were attentive, polite, and accommodating, particularly when we had to add an extra person, during the busy Sunday lunchtime rush. The staff were impeccable in their service from beginning to end. The food exceeded my expectations, the roast dinner was one of the best I have enjoyed in quite some time. There were children in our group who ordered from the kids' menu, and chose the kids pizza, and were pleased with their choices. We will be back for more, and I look forward to the next visit.”
