  “Having booked an outside space for 23 people of varying ages for a family gathering, this casual venue was perfect. The food was delicious and the friendly staff could not have been more helpful. If I had one criticism it is that the the plates arrived after the burgers and several of our party and dived straight in for the burgers which were served on large platters. The salad was served after most people had finished eating! However, it’s not easy serving that many people at once and the food was piping hot and went down very well despite the lack of plates. Amber was a great help when making the booking and I would highly recommend this place to anyone whether you are a couple or a large group!”

  “Lovely atmosphere busy but I still felt it was calm and relaxing. We waited only a short while for our food . Such generous portions we couldn't eat it all . It tasted amazing and we have decided we will eat there regularly. I arrived first and felt confident enough to approach the bar to order myself a drink. Large garden area as well as a well presented indoor area with good space between tables. We booked a table online which was incredibly easy to do. Fantastic staff who served with a smile . I definately recommend eating there or just meeting for a drink. Free parking across the road at certain times is also helpful . Sundays the burgers are £10”

  “Staff is great but my god these are EASILY the worst burgers we’ve ever had. Not even exaggerating. Flavourless , most likely frozen beef. Wasn’t even a fluke because my parents went the week prior and we didn’t know until we talked about later, and they amass the same experience. I just do not understand how a predominantly burger focused menu could miss so badly on their specialty.”

  “We had the PERFECT time. It was my husband’s birthday - he’s a huge burger aficionado - and we were with the kids. The burgers were insanely good, the staff were awesome and went above & beyond. As you can see from the photo! Yes, I asked them to stuff candles in a burger. Best night. Thank you so much ☺️”

  “Drove from Edenbridge as we had been here before and knew it to be the best place for burgers; it’s worth the 32 mile round trip, trust me! First off, it’s got a great vibe. Loads of young people having a great night. We are both in our fifties but don’t feel out of place. Great beer, wine and spirit selection. We went Cruz Campo, until it ran out, and then moved onto Moretti. Really clean glasses and great pints. There are loads of seating areas; banquette sofas, chairs and tables, high stools and heated outside seating (it’s packed in the warm weather). We opted for high table and stools: because that’s all there was at 9pm on. Friday! The staff were all really friendly, engaging and intelligent: conversations went between Phrenology, Psychology and football. Then we ordered food! So I went for The Exotic Sally and my partner went for The Dutchman. Both came with hot, salty, perfectly cooked fries, mayo, ketchup and we ordered an extra Buffalo Sauce. The beef is cooked medium, is succulent and juicy. The chicken was cooked perfectly; not at all dry and the perfect amount of dressing and salad/pickles etc. The bacon deserves its own mention; it was insane! Almost beyond words. It’s sweet, sticky and not cut too thick or thin. Amazing! The buns hold it all together well, I do turn mine upside down and it works! I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s the second time we’ve been here and I am kinda glad that we don’t live closer because we would have our own reserved table! Go. Make your own memories and treat yourself to an exceptional burger. Enjoy and thank you to SJY for another incredible meal and evening.”

  “We recently celebrated our son’s 2nd birthday at SJY and had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. Amber, the event manager, was incredibly helpful, even with our very last-minute plans. When we arrived, the team were so warm and accommodating, giving us plenty of space and time to set up and transform the room into a little farm-themed paradise for our son. They were kind, patient, and completely unfazed by the chaos of a sugar-fuelled toddler party! The food was amazing, as always! The venue itself is intimate and absolutely gorgeous, so we hardly needed any decorations to make it look beautiful. We can’t wait to celebrate our next birthday or special event with SJY!”

  “Popped in here after some crazy golf with the kids. The place was lovely and warm on a snowy day and we loved the feel/look of the decor The staff were okay I wouldn’t say too friendly or particularly friendly they just merely done a job The food came a was really nice very well presented and tasted absolutely amazing. Couldn’t fault the food in the slightest.”

  “After having visited on many an occasion previously, I booked the vintage room for our team Christmas party, and wow, Saint Johns Yard did not disappoint! 🤩 the room was cosy but with plenty of space for dancing, and hosting our quiz, and awards for the team. We had a lovely buffet, cooked to perfection and catering to many dietary needs. The drinks were well priced meaning that we could provide drinks for the team too. Thank you to the wonderful team who were so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back again 🥳”

  “Brilliant place and had one the best burgers in years. Went in on a Saturday afternoon for some lunch and felt at home. Atmosphere was brilliant and had a nice time. The burger choice is a nice changed and offered unique and tasty options that you wouldn't get elsewhere. I went for the Hong Kong Sally which was a seasoned chicken fillet with hoisin sauce. It was delicious with nice crispy fries but they had so many other options for fries I would have to try next time. If you like a good burger you'll love this place.”
