Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often point to brunch plates built around crab and eggs, with the crab poached eggs and a "boujee full English" praised as delicious, and the pulled pork Benedict with potato pave also drawing approval. Close behind are the drinks: a watermelon cooler cocktail, an iced strawberry matcha, and coffee that several call excellent. Cakes and pastries are described as fresh, and chicken katsu bites get a mention as a side. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one group of ten celebrating a birthday found the service smooth, including the bottomless brunch. The caveats are specific. One reviewer ordered the crab eggs benny and received plain hollandaise with no crab, and another called the best-seller crab Benedict cold, shop-bought crab meat with bacon placed alongside rather than cooked in. That second reviewer also rated the coffee poorly. Others mention pancakes that swapped blueberries for pomegranate without warning until served, a kitchen that can be slow, and takeaway cups that are awkward to drink from. One reviewer even noted the roast pork sandwich tasted like the Benedict's pulled pork.

“Great vibe, but the food is just NOT tasty! I ordered crab Benedict, which they called it Best Seller, but it’s literally just some ready cold crab meat bought from Sainsbury instead of home cooked. Second, they recommended that I added bacon, but it was just put along side instead of together. I mean, the reason why a restaurant is a restaurant is that you make food properly. Thirdly, coffee quality, this is even worse than my office, unforgivable.”

“Great location, nice food and friendly staff. But I was slightly disappointed that the pancakes I ordered were supposed to come with blueberries, but they had run out and replaced them with pomegranate and only told me about this when the dish was being served to me. I still ate it all the same, but I think they should have let me know in advance.”

“I visited with my dad and my sister for lunch and we had a really lovely time. The food was good, and the coffees and matcha were excellent. Taylor our server was super friendly, funny and attentive. Thank you for looking after us! Hope to see you again soon.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a fantastic experience at Redroaster. The food was delicious, the coffee was excellent, and everything was served very quickly. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. A special thank you to Izzy and Zara for their kindness, great service, and warm smiles. They made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was lovely, the place was clean, and I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend Redroaster to anyone visiting Brighton. I will definitely be coming back, and I hope to see the wonderful team again”

“Honestly, what a lovely all rounder. Our waitress was lovely and kind and helped me choose the watermelon cooler cocktail which was the bomb by the way! Food was really lovely. Their menu boasts a nice twist on fairly normal brunch options. I got the crab with pouched eggs which was delicious. And my boyfriend was very happy with his “boujee full English” we shared some chicken katsu bites on the side which was also Gorg. Would come here again when I’m next in Brighton for sure!”
