About Sea Pearl Bath
On Cleveland Pl in Bath, Sea Pearl Bath is a fish and chips takeaway in a small, nautical-themed shop with only about four seats. Henrietta Park is nearby. The menu offers fish and chips with a choice of haddock or cod, and mushy peas come as a side. Salt and pepper squid and onion rings sit alongside, and the kitchen also prepares burgers, chicken dishes and pies. Curry sauce and tartar sauce are both available, though tartar does not come with the fish by default. Vegetarian and vegan options are listed among the sides, and Lemon Fanta is on the drinks list. Packets of salt and vinegar go into the bag with each order.

“Absolutely perfect 👌. My order was delivered in under 20 mins. Large cod was perfect. Very meaty with minimal grease . Batter was crispy. Chips where spot on and the onion rings where also great . I love ordering from sea pearl . Highly recommended. Delivery driver was also very polite”

“Was craving a fish and chips, came here as my local was closed. Very average chips half of which were stale. Fish was small for the price and pretty tasteless. Also asked for salt and vinegar and only got loads of salt.”

“Service was good and the guy was very friendly Chips where good tartar sauce and the Mashi peas were very good but I’m afraid the haddock was dry. The Outer batter was very oily and it seemed like the fish had come out of the box from Iceland very small and flat with the skin on On a good point, the salt and pepper squid which did come out of a bag with Iceland’s written on them was very nice”

“Food delivered NO CHIPS rang the shop assistant said he definitely put them in. He was very challenging & refused to take my word for it. I don’t like being called a liar. He agreed to send more but was still arguing that he has sent them the first time. What happened to the customer is always right. Definitely won’t be ordering from there again. The food wasn’t that great either.”

Customer Review Summary
Haddock and cod are the main draw, described as light, crisp, tender, meaty and not too greasy, with batter several call crispy. Chips earn praise for generous portions, and one serving fed three. Reviewers also single out the tartar and curry sauces, onion rings, salt and pepper squid and lemon Fanta, plus friendly service, a polite delivery driver and a delivery in under 20 minutes. One diner was given tartar sauce on the house. Opinion is split, and the complaints are concrete. Several describe dry haddock under oily batter, rubbery reheated fish, small and tasteless portions, and stale or flavourless chips. Mushy peas were very good to one reviewer and very salty to another. One reviewer asked for salt and vinegar and got only salt. Another found the vegan and vegetarian sides tasty but the chips awful. One delivery arrived with no chips, and the customer says the shop assistant insisted they had been packed before agreeing to send more.
