About Wheatsheaf
On Market St in Wolverhampton, the Wheatsheaf is a pub with Wolves memorabilia and flags hanging from the ceiling, which suits the match-going Wolves fans who keep the bar busy on match days. The bar serves cask conditioned, hand-pulled real ales alongside Guinness and tap ciders. Lunch includes a lamb dinner and a vegetarian option. The landlady owns the pub and works it herself, and the team welcomes groups of friends. Dogs are welcome. The railway station is about a five-minute walk away.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the real ales and pints, with a good pint of Guinness and hand-pulled cask ales named, and several call the pints cheap. Close behind is the food: a Sunday lunch, a lamb dinner, a cheese and onion crusty cob at the bar, and a vegetarian option that one diner did not expect. Staff and the landlady are repeatedly described as friendly, polite and welcoming, and one reviewer was given a taster of a tap cider. Many describe a lively atmosphere with Wolves memorabilia and flags on the ceiling, plus a big outdoor seating area, though one reviewer would screen off the bins. Match-day Saturdays bring football fans. Another notes the toilets were old but clean. One reviewer said it was pricier than some bars in town. The one negative review describes a manager in a black cap who swore and told a family to leave before they had ordered any drinks, after they had travelled from Minehead.

“Disgusting manger told us to leave even without us ordering our drinks. Swearing and disgusting attitude towards us. Get rid of the manger who wears a black cap!!!! We traveled all the way from Minehead to meet family members and you got disgusting horrible swearing and vile abuse toward customers.”

“As a later thought needed food before having to catch a train. The wife suggested the Wheatsheaf, but she's vegetarian (didn't realise they had the option). Perfect, polite staff, food was excellent, very reasonably priced, beer great a great start to my Sunday. We'll be back for sure.”
