About The Posada
The Posada is a pub on Lichfield St in Wolverhampton, housed in a Grade II-listed Victorian building with a ceramic exterior. Inside, the tiled walls and bar fittings are mostly original, so visitors drink among period features. Real ales are served on handpump, with three to four cask beers on offer, and the pub is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. CAMRA members can claim a discount. The food list includes a Full English Breakfast and Cheese and Ham Rolls, and Mulled Cider appears among the drinks. Darts can be played on site. The pub is less than 10 minutes' walk from Wolverhampton railway and tram stations.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the real ales, with cask beer on handpump singled out repeatedly. Several mention four hand pulled cask ales on their visit, one had a pint of Dark Star and called it excellent, and another describes the selection as immaculately kept. Close behind is the Victorian building itself, with its tiled walls, bar fittings and ceramic exterior, which reviewers describe as stunning and like stepping back in time. Staff and regulars also draw praise, with the bar staff and owner called friendly and welcoming, and one visitor mentions a well behaved dog belonging to the owner. A few add that the music is not loud enough to stop conversation, that there is a rear courtyard or beer patio, and that darts are played there. Reviewers raise no real complaints. Several note it is under a ten minute walk from the railway and tram stations, and one stopped in on a chance visit while walking past and was glad they did.

“First visit and people were so friendly! The bar lady, the owner and the clients! We felt welcomed. There was music but not loud; we could talk easily. The owner had a delightful dog who was well behaved and friendly and very happy!! The actual building is stunning and of historical interest. A traditional pub with a variety of local beers on tap. A good place to play darts too!”

“What a fantastic little pub with a lovely bartender, it's a step back in time, everything my mom told me about the way a pub used to be when she was small was brought back to me, I had a great birthday there and was made to feel very welcome.”
