Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the cheap, well-kept pints, with one calling the beer among the cheapest around and another singling out lovely ales. Close behind are the sports screens, with football on the TVs and Wolves fans stopping in before matches. Others mention two pool tables, a darts board and power banks to rent. Bar staff are described as friendly and quick, and a guest musician played live one Saturday night. The food draws a more mixed response. One diner's sharing plank came with chicken wings in the wrong sauce and an old, yellowing salad, and the bar staff did not fix it. Another wanted a bigger portion, though it arrived quickly. A vodka cocktail was said to have barely any vodka, while an Aperol drink was thought nicer. The music is called samey, the decor needs updating, and one reviewer found the large bar barn-like. Match nights get very noisy, and one reviewer had to leave because a man kept loudly clapping to the beat.

“Pub wasn't to busy for saturday lunch time, great pint & very good price, football on TVs, toilets were very clean & modern, lady behind bar was very friendly & got served quickly.”
  • Bee Lozzers
“Solid city centre pub, well priced drinks, excellent bar staff that come across as friendly and helpful, all your sports in here, feel safe in here, only gripe is the music is abit samey, needs a much more varied playlist 👍🏻”
  • Bryan Quinn
“Independent pub with a more authentic feel than your typical chain pub of the 21st Century. Spacious with various types of seating to cater to guests of all group sizes. The bar also has power banks to rent which is an ingenious idea for people out for more than a few hours who need their phone for their taxi home. Also houses two pool tables at the back of the venue, in addition to a darts board, with plenty of TV screens, to satisfy many entertainment needs. On the Saturday I went night there was also live music from a guest musician which was a nice touch. Great pub for chilling out or starting your night out at.”
  • Ree n Ad Porello
“A cheap pub where the deaf community meet up every Thursday evening. Service always quick. Not the busiest on a Thursday so plenty of room. Different TV's around the place with different sports on, so something for everybody. Beer very cheap! One of the cheapest around.”
  • Jon Harris
“Can have lovely ales kept and served well, plus cheap. Usually up tempo but can be very noisy on match nights and certain other times, take it as it comes, just had to get out if there last time one bloke loudly clapping to the beat.”
