About The Shrewsbury Arms
In Wolverhampton, The Shrewsbury Arms is a timber-framed pub at 70 High St, with chandeliers inside and live music on two nights a week. The kitchen runs a large vegan menu, which includes a vegan tofu burrito, alongside burgers and burritos for those who eat meat. Calamari comes as a starter, and Nduja Chicken sits among the mains. For sharing, the pub serves a carvery and platters, with the platter holding beef with gravy, Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring their pets along when they visit.

Customer Review Summary
Sharing platters are the most repeated draw, with reviewers describing a massive sharing board, a sharing carvery that left a table of nine clearing their plates, and a platter with melting beef, tasty gravy, proper yorkies and large pigs in blankets. Burgers and burritos come close behind, including a vegan tofu burrito with salt and pepper chips that one diner praised in a menu they found refreshingly large and unusual for a local pub. Others single out the Nduja Chicken, tender calamari with plenty of it, and a Dubai chocolate waffle. Servers are called friendly and attentive, and weekend live music is a reason some plan to return. The one complaint is a lost booking for a party of six, though a table was found in a reasonable time. One diner also had the kitchen prepare an extra burger portion to take home.

“We came for an evening meal for a Birthday and I have to say it was an amazing evening, the food was delicious, I ordered the Nduja Chicken which was some of the best food I have tasted in a long time. Our server which I think was Ashleigh did an amazing job, so attentive, very friendly and just made the overall experience even better. The atmosphere was great, and very pleasant. I would definitely recommend!”

“The food is excellent! Had the sharing platter and the beef melted in your mouth. Gravy is really tasty. Proper yorkies and a couple of large 'pigs in blankets'. Had the Calamari for a starter, plenty of it and tenderly cooked.”

“Although they could not find our booking reservation for 3pm today, they still managed to figure out a table for 6 people in a reasonable and timely manner. Food was fantastic and so was the company. Thank you Shrewsbury Arms! Great job. We shall be back.”

“Popped in for lunch whilst passing and was very impressed. The food was beautiful we will definitely be bringing the whole family next time.”

“So refreshing for a local pub to have such a large vegan menu with unusual rather than generic options! I had a Vegan tofu burrito with salt and pepper chips and it was so tasty! Equally, my partner who eats meat enjoyed his burger and steak loaded fries just as much 😍 The atmosphere was so nice that we stayed longer afterwards for drinks. We spent most of our first visit saying how we can't wait to come back!”
