About The Fox at Shipley
The Fox at Shipley is a country pub-restaurant on Bridgnorth Rd in Wolverhampton, with a kitchen built around grilled dishes and exotic world meats. Yorkshire pudding wraps come with chips, and the steak list includes a 10oz rump steak alongside a mixed grill. A steak night is also part of the menu, and spritz options sit among the drinks. A children's outdoor play area gives younger guests somewhere to play while the adults eat. Lunch needs no booking, so a table can be had without a reservation.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is what reviewers return to most, with the rump steak, the mixed grill and Friday steak night all praised for generous portions and value compared with other steak restaurants. Close behind are the Sunday roast, the Foxy burger, the fish pie and the all day breakfast, with one regular saying the choice is so wide it is hard to pick. Yorkshire pudding wraps come up twice as tasty and filling, though one reviewer found no salad or veg with theirs, and another said the tortilla dish needed more chicken to fill four tortillas. The gravy and the Spritz options also earn mentions. Families note the outdoor play frame and comfortable benches, and reviewers describe friendly, attentive staff and a charming owner. Several say food arrived without a long wait even when busy, and one regular eats here on a Sunday at least once a month.

“Delightful venue with very pleasant staff and atmosphere. My elderly uncle and I visited today. He had the Sunday roast and I had the Foxy burger. Food was delicious and the staff attentive but not overbearing. The lady who I assume runs the place is charming and friendly. Good parking. Authentic countryside feel. Will definitely be back.”
