  “A lovely meal, a hot evening we were sat by the open door which provided a nice breeze! The staff were extremely welcoming in particular Erin the young lady who served us was polite and knowledgable about the drinks and food menu.”

  “Our waitress Erin was so nice and friendly ,definitely efficient nothing was too much trouble and so so Pleasant would come back again just to be served by her. Thank you for a pleasant experience Erin👌🏻 Food was absolutely amazing!!!”

  “We had a girlie lunch here yesterday and we were served by Abby, nothing was too much trouble, the level of service was perfect, Abby was polite, knowledgeable and helpful and all with a smile, we eat here often and I’ve never been compelled to leave a review about the staff, the food here is always great, but Abby did a great job yesterday and a few of the others could follow suit. I hope the feedback is given as it was very well deserved. Thank you”

  “The pub is lovely decor & the roast was yum however rest of food & was severely lacking. Went for Father's Day forced set menu fine but ran out of 2 entrees & 2 desserts asked for the cheesecake when ordered main but they said would get order later then ran out. The crumble which was 1 of only 2 options left was so sour even the custard couldn't cut through it. The prawn cocktail was served with a slice of bread from a supermarket loaf. The kids meals & desserts were tiny & the pizza wasn't even round, it was melted cheese on a bit of dough, the lettuce in the salad was wilted & not crunchy. Food definitely not worth the price.”

  “Our first visit to The Oaken Arms tonight. We received a very warm welcome and were seated really promptly even though we arrived there early. (Eager husbands who wanted to get back home for the England match!) Great service from Lilly. She went over and above to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. The food was excellent. We all had Weekend treat menu which was very good value for the 2 courses. The duck was a particular highlight & very tasty with flavoursome sides. Would highly recommend it. Thanks for a lovely time. See you again.”

  “Really enjoyed our time here. We're from out of area and this was our second visit to the place. Same warm greeting. Decent beer, good food. Not cheap (not that we thought it was to begin with) but you only ever get what you pay for. Will definitely visit again”

  “We visited here on Friday 26th June for the first time. Amazing staff, one barmaid in particular, wish I'd caught her name😏 as she deserves to be acknowledged. She was so lovely, welcoming and had a great sense of humour. Food was beautiful and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you ☺️”

  “Been looking forward to our trip here as it has had a refit and the posts looked wonderful.it is a very nice place with attentive staff but oh dear what a let down the food was. Quoting my wife this is the hardest piece of chicken I've ever had its like eating cardboard. Seriously overcooked , my club sandwich was OK average at best and my pint of wainwright's well wainwright's doesn't taste like that.. I was hoping this place would become a regular haunt/pop in , but I don't think we will be back. Maybe just an off day!”
