  “Arrived just before 8pm looking for food! Staff were helpful re kitchen closing at 8 and quickly took out order. Drinks and food were good, nice 'garden' area. Maybe lucky with staff but appeared to be doing their best and answered my urgent questions and my partners odd request for a doggy box - he was saying fish n chips so good so dont understand why needed it :)”

  “This is a really nice pub with a cute terrace on the riverside. We had the pie of the day, pork ribs and two desserts, and all the food was delicious. Furthermore, the service was excellent, James has been really lovely!”

  “We popped in on the off chance, we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a traditional Roast dinner, beef, with a lovely red Rioja. James C, our waiter was very helpful and almost knew what we would have, there must have been a label on me. We did not wait too long, food was hot, tasty, and well-proportioned. Wine was beautiful. Good atmosphere, families, couples, friends, and dog walkers. This is now on our local pub list.”

  “On booking we requested a corner or booth table due to children, and they delivered perfectly. Very good service, Annabel our waitress was very friendly and welcoming, providing quick service throughout the evening with a bubbly attitude despite the heat and business. Good atmosphere with quick service on a very busy day with excellent weather. The food was lovely, turning up hot, and all our 7 meals were good. The children portions were good size too. A great pub and would recommend to others.”

  “Great place in Winchester for a drink near the river. Good ale on tap, plus lots of other options on the bar. At about 3pm the sun come around the trees in the pub garden. One of the best pub views in Winchester. There are rugs when it feels a little cold.”

  “Good food, an excellent selection of beer & wine, friendly welcoming service and great location! I can't imagine what else you'd want, especially at such reasonable prices! We had chicken wings & chicken satay to start, both beautifully cooked & presented. Likewise with the mains of teriyaki beef and a burger. All washed down with a smooth Rioja that was great value at £34!”

  “A popular place for all ages. There are outside seating with tables and little huts for a more private settings. The huts were a bit dark when we visited but perhaps they'll be lit up when it gets dark. We couldn't find any switch to do so. There's also a space between the indoor and outdoor setting if you want to feel the outdoor but also sheltered if the rain comes.”
