  “We had an excellent lunch today at The White Horse thanks to a recommendation from our tour guide. The pub was charming and cozy. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fish and chips and the beautiful garden.”

  “Our expectations, perhaps set too high by the lovely ambiance of the establishment, anticipated a correspondingly exceptional dining experience. The wait time for the main courses was excessively long, resulting in the entire supper lasting an hour and forty-five minutes. Specifically, the "while you wait" dishes took thirty minutes to arrive, followed by an additional forty-five minutes for the main courses. While the experience was not unpleasant, and both the Bavette Steak and the Gnocchi were superb, the significant delay in serving the gnocchi meant that the dish remained largely uneaten, as our son had become too tired by then. Also worth to notice we weren't provided with kids menu options. Overall, the experience was merely average.”

  “Excellent, helpful, quick service. Wonderful steak and burger and the fried pickles are excellent. Nice atmosphere and wonderful that they have a very small boutique like shop with some small local crafts (I bought the pumpkin and pink whale 🌟)”

  “It’s a bit ‘hit or miss’ here. Very pretty, country pub, and sometimes food and service are absolutely excellent. Other times seems quite poor quality (which it really shouldn’t be at the prices. We’ve had excellent roasts, but then subpar ones. Wonderful service from some, and then ones who have just disappeared (and not because it’s been busy).”

  “This is a lovely pub with awesome decor and staff. Maybe like all gastro pubs they're not a cheap eats out. The Thursday set menu for 2 or 3 courses it's definitely worth a look. I had the sardines on toast starter and steak main with bottle of house red. Wine is very drinkable. Summertime is also nice in the garden with a little noise from the M3.”

  “This is my 1st time visiting The White Horse. The food was absolutely beautiful and the cocktail I had was delicious. The staff were all very friendly, polite and very helpful. Megan our waitress was lovely, making sure we had everything we needed for our lunch. We sat and ate at the back of the bar, its was lovely sitting on the window seats. It was lovely and quiet, and peaceful. The best way to enjoy lunch.”

  “Lovely visit after a dog walk. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, even helping us secure a 10% discount by signing up to their app. Food was very good and everyone left feeling satisfied. Good selection of ales and wine. You can really spoil yourself at this place. We will be visiting the sister restaurant to get the great deals through the app. Thanks for looking after the 6 off us and our fury friend.”

  “Tried out this venue for breakfast and not disappointed. Service was good and food very tasty with many ingredients locally sourced. Decor was homely and well presented with even a small gift area at the entrance. Lots of outdoor seating, lots of parking and a children’s play area. A great place for brunch.”
