About Kilcoyne's Irish Bar, Wigan
Kilcoyne's Irish Bar is a bar at 19 Wigan Lane in Wigan, and it is the only Irish bar in Swinley, so it covers the Irish side of a night out for the area. Murphy's is served on draught, and the drinks list reaches beyond it to a wider choice of Irish and English options. Live music nights feature a singer and get very busy, and music plays in the bar at other times. Plenty of TVs show sport for anyone coming in to watch a match. Dogs are welcome, so regulars can bring their pets along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the welcome from the staff, with the bar team, a manager and a barmaid described as friendly and lovely, and as making visitors feel at home rather than just serving them. Close behind is the atmosphere on live music and entertainment nights, where one reviewer praises the singer and another notes the bar gets very busy. Several also mention a good range of drinks and a reliably good pint, plenty of TVs for the sport, and prices better than other bars on Wigan Lane. One reviewer misses Magners on draught. The one negative comes from a group of four who arrived late in the evening and bought two or three drinks each. They found the woman behind the bar miserable and said they felt unwelcome, and they would not return. The lights were turned off and the blinds pulled down before the midnight closing time listed online.

“Fabulous atmosphere, friendly staff and customers. Great selection of drinks. Always good on entertainments nights. Highly recommended”

“4 of us went in at 11pm and bought 2-3 drinks each. I can honestly say that the service from the lady behind the bar was shocking. She has short blond hair and was older, extremely miserable and resented us being there despite being paying customers. The lights were turned off at 1120pm and the blinds pulled down making us feel not welcome. Not a warm polite atmosphere and not making me want to return. Says on Google open until midnight, not as though I went in at 1155pm. Much better bars on Wigan Lane with happier bar staff.”

“Great little pub. Friendly staff, clean, warm, plenty of TVs for the sport, music. The drink selection is brilliant and always a good pint. Better priced than others on wigan lane. Dog friendly too!”
