About The Ukulele
The Ukulele is a pub in Wigan at 59 Standishgate, and it admits adults only, with no children allowed. Screens showing sport cover the walls, including live football, so a match can be followed from most of the room. A karaoke microphone is used in the pub for anyone who wants a turn. At the bar, Carling is on draught and John Smiths is the only bitter, with no real ales poured.

Customer Review Summary
Cheap, reasonable drink prices are what reviewers mention most, with a pint of Carling and other beers called good value and live football on the screens. A few describe friendly, quick service from the person behind the bar, and one calls the pub full of characters. The welcome is where opinions split. Several report rude staff. One was told the pub is not a youth club, another watched the person serving walk out, and a third says a landlady was rude. One reviewer praises the landlady and her family. Others find the pub bland, with silent TV screens alongside music, John Smiths as the only bitter, no real ales and a limited back bar. One visitor found it untidy on an afternoon visit, and one notes that children are strictly not allowed. The most detailed complaint describes a manager shouting at a customer over the karaoke mike for ordering slowly while part of his group was still outside.
