About The Peacock, Oxhill
The Peacock, Oxhill is a country village pub on Main St in Warwick, set in rural Warwickshire. The bar pours real ale and keeps a varied wine list, and cocktails are made to order as well. In the kitchen, the team prepares home-cooked dishes from locally sourced ingredients, so the food menu draws on produce from nearby. A visit can centre on a meal, a pint of ale, a glass of wine or a cocktail, depending on what suits the table. Tables can be reserved ahead of a visit.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the food as delicious, naming a seared tuna burger with wasabi mayo and crunchy vegetables, fish and chips, gammon and chips, and steak and ale pie, plus one of the best salads a diner had tasted in ages. Close behind is the welcome, with staff described as friendly and knowledgeable, and one server who took questions to the chef without rushing the table. Reviewers also describe a lovely, relaxed country atmosphere, including a lit fire on a cold Saturday afternoon and beers on tap that mixed interesting selections with the standards. One diner was happy with the costs, and another said they loved the meal despite usually being let down by eating out. One reviewer suggests booking if not eating early, since the pub was getting very busy by 7.30 on a Saturday evening. One Sunday diner was handed a Mother's Day gift just before leaving.

“A little surprise in the country! A lovely little pub with a very friendly welcome and fantastic food. A perfectly formed menu that should cater to most pallets that was certainly gastro. Service was fantastic with special mention to the lovely Aoife. An easy option if heading between Stratford and Banbury, but well worth a ride out from anywhere. We will be back!”

“Visited for a Sunday lunch and it was everything we could've wanted! There is lots of parking around the back. We reserved a table but there were a few free tables if we hadn't booked.”

“Not local so looked for somewhere with decent reviews. Choose this place and had wonderful food, in a nice setting and really helpful staff. What more could you want. Definitely recommend. Suggest you book of you don’t eat early like us. It was getting very busy by 7.30 on a Saturday evening.”

“We had such a big warm welcome from Jess this evening. The food and service were absolutely exceptional, if only all pubs had such a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Thank you so much Jess & Max 😊”
