Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the Lebanese cooking itself, with the fattoush salad named repeatedly alongside the maqlooba, baba ganoush and the muhammara walnut dip with pitta. Others praise the lamb, the juicy chicken, the mushroom rice and the sujuk starter, and say the kebabs have a chargrilled flavour and the portions are generous. Close behind are the desserts, with a honey cake that reminded one reviewer of a grandmother's baking and a baklava full of whole pistachios. A lime and soda that tasted like a mojito mocktail also gets a mention. Service is described as friendly and professional, with a waiter who explained the dishes and a manager who made one table feel at home. Some regulars of the Altrincham branch say this one has improved. Two caveats recur: one reviewer found the chicken skewer expensive with rice, salad and bread all charged as extras, and noted the room was very empty. Another found service slow on a quiet Tuesday night. One waiter invited a table to keep chatting rather than rush out.

“We called in today for the lunchtime menu. The food was superb and more than enough with the two courses. It's a beautiful place, everything felt " high end" despite the very reasonable price. The lime and soda was more like a mojito mocktail and was so lovely and refreshing. The waiter was really lovely and I can't wait to revisit. Highly recommend.”

“Went on a fairly quiet Tuesday, and it was nice and low key. Our waiter explained the dishes really well and was wonderful throughout (invited us not to rush out continue chatting when we had finished). The food was lovely, really good flavours. The baklava at the end was fabulous, full of whole pistachios. We had a great time, will definitely be back (there's more to get through on the menu!)”

“It was my first time at Yara and I absolutely loved the food. The maqlooba was authentic and delicious, and the fattoush and creamy baba ganoush were just as impressive. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back”

“Food was great but proces on the high side - even for stockton heath.... £15.50 for a chicken skewer with NO sides. Most eastern European restaurants would serve a skewers with rice , salad or bread but all of that are extra, each between £4 - £6, meaning a chicken souvlaki style meal would be over £35. It was very empty compared to everywhere else. Even Piccolino next door (overpriced chain) was busy. The food was nice enough I do think more people would choose here if they offered better value.”
